Ask any Red Sox fan about baseball, they will tell you laws of physics do not apply as the Bambino curse is the ONLY law in the land of Boston Red Sox:)
As a sidenote, watch the movie Still We Believe for an inside view of how Boston fans related to the Boston Red Sox.
And the only people who can really relate to us are Chicago Cubs fans.
I hear you. Hey I would love it too!!! BUT, these movies take a LOT of time to make so that has to be taken into account. Maybe as Pixar grows they will add more staff and can eventually create an adult-only film.
No adult content? Go watch Pixar's movies again. They CLEARLY have written in content for adults in all of their movies. Pixar is obviosly gearing movies for mainstream, that involves children and adults. Why limit a movie to one crowd(adults or children)? The super success of Finding Nemo was BECAUSE it was aimed at children and adults.
"People have brought over species that we didn't expect here, just like people have created viruses that Microsoft didn't expect to deal with," said Jeff Dukes, professor of biology at the University of Massachusetts at Boston, who studies diversity and growth in ecological systems. "These introduced species have had a major impact on our forest and have knocked out entire species."
Excuse me, but how can you compare a biological occurrance to a technological occurrance? There are too many variables in the biological virus. Or can you in fact make a definite comparison?
Saying people created viruses Microsoft didn't expect to deal with is bogus. That's a cop-out.
Microsoft was well aware of many of it's security holes. It's been going on for years.
I agree with him on the Dock issues on almost all of them. Some may be too nit picky.
But for the most part he is right. All documents look the same, no tagging, trash can in the dock, dragging from the dock erases what you drag. It's dangerous.
I don't agree with the dock taking too much space. If you make it the smallest you can still make out what programs are which.
Looks very slick but my concerns are:
1. The jog wheel, looks AWFULLY small. Look at the guy's thumb on that!
2. That green-lit color screen doesn't look too friendly on the eyes.
I clicked into the map, and the first place I hit was MOE'S TAVERN :)

that be John Travolt's 747 that he will be flying over to battle forest fires? ;)

Yes but this is slashdot. We are engineers...we don't like dealing with people. :)
I thought it was called SKINEMAX...

Don't take apart your new iPod mini.
Well that takes care of that, doesn't it?
They have patented CMOS technologies that are used in MANY digital cameras from different companies.
I wouldn't say they are finished. Their most recent cameras are pretty nice quality.
If China, South Korea, Japan move ahead of the US, with regard to broadband, the internet, and amount of homes hooked up to broadband, etc.?
If so how will this change our direction, or would it?

Plus, if the dock bothers you so much, HIDE it
Tell her this is electronics. You can't compare the two! :)
Honestly, isn't this stuff we already know???
"I'm not really all that interested in what Hollywood does with its stuff. I mean, they're only the size of the porn industry."
:)
I think that says it all

I don't believe it. We are carbon based beings. Carbon eventually deteriorates(sp?).
I read once where silicon has a similar molecular structure like carbon and we were silicon based then we could live MUCH longer.
How do they go about maintaining the carbon in our bodies?
