    Add IE7 to the list. Even thought it doesn't complain about my version of IE, the movies wont play, I get script errors, etc. This service is turning out to be extremly flaky.

    As someone who has been involved in customizing several installations of OsCommerce, I can tell you that Oscommerce is one of the worst representations of what Open Source is "suppose" to be. Bluntly put, It is one of the biggest nightmares I have ever had the misfoturnes to work with. You encounter everything from maintainability headaches to security holes to plain ugly code. It is put together with chewing gum. Is there really no Open Source alternative to OsCommerce?

    As an experienced PHP developer who has been involved in many small and large projects, usually involving several other programmers, I can say that the problem with PHP's security is not PHP itself but rather the inability of exploits to punch the programmer in the face.

    But who says they are writing their own version? Do you write your own book when you understand and accept the message of Animal Farm?

    Ofcourse not, you take the allegory and extract the author's message and may learn from it. Unless you actually believe the pigs and all other animals did what they did in the story?. Just because you are not taking a story literally and are understanding and learning the real message behind it , it doesn't mean you are writing your own version. So by that logic, the story (the bible in this case) still has the original message and may keep its symbological name of "holy".

    Whoa.. venture-capital firms investing in web related stuff? Have we fallen into a worm hole and are back in 1999/2000? I need to get myself some of that dotcom stock and sell it right after.

    Joking aside, isn't it interesting/sad that it takes a lot of hype backed up by a big name like Google for a old technology tricks to get serious attention from investors? "They are doing it, so it must be good" type of reasoning. Hopefully this bubble won't burst into flames because hype aside, doing what ajax does has been pretty useful and it would be a shame for 'ajax' to be associated with failure.

    Does that mean that only a person with administrative privileges gets to listen to the CD on their computer? or will the cd play even if the DRM software was not installed? If it's the former .. wow, why on earth are people still buying CDS from this company?

    But video clips of a spicier nature quickly became available as free, iPod-friendly downloads. That created an immediate problem for parents already scrambling to keep abreast of their teenagers' computer routines...........
