Why do most major browsers display "Mozilla/x.x" on their signature including IE?

In my opinion those are all extra nice features Mozilla should have to be a complete browser, but the core of the program itself as a browser has way surpassed Netscape.
Doesn't the GPL have a clause in which the author does not take responsability for any flaws in the software?

I'm a 'newbie' open source developer.. I love the concept, but one question I've been asking myself for a while is: how can they not de-gpl anything? How can they not get away with taking advantage of the amazing open source work there is out there and use it for their own proprietary/closed source applications without releasing the source code or admitting it derives from gpled apps? How can we know if they're using GPLed source or not?
Another close call?? are we getting close calls weekly? monthly? how come nobody lets us know about these things coming towards us? Only time i hear about them is when they just miss us. If one is gonna hit us I'd like to know to take proper action. Go get laid...
Dammit, If DNA was open source it wouldn't take that long, or if God would've commented his code and aligned properly using atleast 4 tabs for nested statements it would be a lot easier !

According to Microsoft scientists, we are all wrong on the way the earth spins, thus the timing and viewing locations for tonight's metor shower might be off!
How about support for a normal desktop box?, It odesnt mention anything abou that uh?. Would be nice to stop the keyboard noise while other ppl in my house are sleeping and im coding at 3:30am.

You might, remember 2.5.x is a development kernel I'd wait for 2.6.x
