    This is not BLU's doing, but it is. The firmware maker is causing all these issues, but they choose to collaborate with that company in the first place.

I knew Black Hat and DEF CON are in a competition to get the coolest talks, but didn't know it was this bad that they need to hype hacking conferences now. OMG the DEF CON hackers are here.     Technically speaking, the data is skewed by malware numbers for IoT devices. Actual Linux boxes may be quite secure if you don't strip them down to a few libraries like the OS versions that ship with IOT crap.

    It's the New York Times.... their tech editors are crap. Last week they ran an alarmist article about a ransomware strain from August 2016 that was never distributed in the wild. They made it look like it was the second coming of WannaCry.
