    So GM, the company that "the gov" bailed out of bankruptcy 7 years ago with 20 Billion USD is now backing a "not-taxi" startup with 500 Million USD?

    Great.....there goes more of our tax dollars.

    For while I think that vegans are a bunch of pretentious and annoying fucks, the concept of not having to kill an animal to get the meat protein we need would be interesting.

    But that's what makes it so delicious.....

    Most people rag on AMD for buying ATI and sinking the entire budget into that, but in all reality, It was probably the best for AMD.

    The acquisition of ATI is one of the only things that keeps AMD competitive as a company. Sure their CPU's are lackluster, but their motherboard and chipset support has been excellent compared to Intel, they consistently make motherboards compatible for multiple families of processors and they have a good cost-performance ratio.....

    Also, not an AMD fanboy, I've built and used many AMD rigs in my day but I currently run a Haswell 4690K. Going from an FX4300 to the Haswell, not too much has changed in terms of experience in windows and most games.

    I got one from the kickstarter, and I like it alot, it works well, doesnt take up much space and seems stable and fast enough for most light work.

    I just can't seem to find a use for it around my house. It may very well end up in my sister's stocking as a Christmas present.

    It is interesting to note that the World Health Organization (WHO) has classified as a "potential carcinogen".

    You know what else is classified as a potential carcinogen by the WHO? Pretty much everything you have and will ever come in contact with. Red Meat, Bubblegum, and Soda to name a few.

    Frankly, a life without steaks and Coke-cola isn't one worth living.

    perhaps so, but you have to keep the beard.

    If given the choice, I would much rather focus on things that would improve the quality of life, say hereditary diseases. Heart disease is one of the biggest killers in America and quite a bit of the risk is hereditary.

  20. I haven't used Thunderbird in ages, however, it was the best option in the bunch when using a standalone email client.

    I can still say this truthfully especially since I use Lotus Notes at work and used Microsoft Outlook exclusively before the days of gmail.

    And for the record, Lotus Notes is fucking terrible.

    Indeed, I order more things from Amazon than any other E-retailer combined and the majority of my purchases come through UPS. Sometimes, small items will come through USPS, but it's very infrequent.

    and yes, it is far better than USPS. As far as I'm concerned, Fedex is the devil around here, they can't even afford branded trucks, they all run around in unmarked budget rental trucks, it's just embarassing.

    All of these processes are being put in place and the security of them is an afterthought.
