My friends and I actually started using hangouts once I switched to Linux about a month ago, Skype works, but is far too problematic and doesn't support group video chat, at least in my case.

I love the fact that you can limit the bitrate on incoming and outgoing video feeds as well.

That's all fine and well. I don't think waiters are getting replaced by robots in the near future, too much dexterity and flexibility required. Although, be prepared to pay though the nose for the food you used to think was affordable due to the wage hike.

This is very true. I'll normally only buy electronics from either Newegg or if it's an order that fulfilled by Amazon under the name of the MFG of the thing I'm buying.

This should go without saying, but if the price seems too good to be true, it probably is, just like with anything else you buy.

Unfortunately, this doesn't help with all those 2GB USB flash drives from China, which are labeled and firmware hacked to appear to have 64+ gigabytes of usable space.

You can fix that issue very simply by only buying name brand memory. (Sandisk and Kingston are my most trusted) It's not that expensive, especially considering that you'll actually get what you pay for.

So at some point, Windows 10 will no longer be free to use then, what happens if in the future you refuse to pay to upgrade to the latest version on Win 10?

  11. If the information you referenced is true, then 50.4% of minimum wage workers are age 24 or younger. So not false. That means the the other 49.6% of workers are not advancing or making good career choices

Also, what does supplemental mean? I guess you've never had a second job that paid less than your primary one eh?

I said it in the parent already, minimum wage jobs are not career paths.

  12. Fist question should be - do this state have bad politicians and complicated laws?

Find me a state that doesn't have this issue and I'll start packing.

  13. This is a simple problem really.

You work at Mcburgerbelldees and you want 15 dollars/hour cause minimum wage just isn't cutting it.

You're right, but the thing is, you should be working towards a better job, flipping burgers or dropping fries in hot oil isn't and shouldn't be a career goal, nor does it merit 15 dollars/hour.

Minimum wage jobs are there for supplemental income and those who are just starting work for the first time.

I understand, shit's expensive, I've been there and done that. Used to work in convenience for 6 years before I started work with a Fortune 500 company making great money for the area I live in, 7 years later and I've moved into the office as part of the management staff. It's not a hard concept to grasp, but if you're not willing to work hard, towards a goal that doesn't involve doing as little work as possible, you'll never get anywhere.

As an aside, if you go into any Wawa or Royal Farms in this area, they have already done away with the waiters, they have been replaced by an automated kiosk. And guess what, they're always to work on time, always do their job and never get the order wrong unless you entered it that way.

So what makes more sense to you? Paying a snotty over-privileged 20 something 15/hour, or buying a 500~ dollar kiosk that never complains? The decision seems cut and dry to me.
