Nope, not just you. My IGP-100 has those features, in addition to the FM Tuner and.ogg support.
Man I love this player!:) Of course, my wife's cousin just picked up the H120, and I had to help him set it up and show him how to rip CD's. That H120 was pretty sweet. Too bad I probably couldn't convince my wife to let me upgrade to the H140...:(
On the other hand, as I write this the page has been loaded over 30,000,000 times, and they've only given away 126 invites. Which means they are actually only giving out an invite approximately every 265,000 page loads...

One thing I think would be interesting is to enable each user to mark certain emails to enable them to be publicly searchable [munged addresses of course]. Something like that could potentially be a huge new resource.
I got it at Best Buy. They are going to stop carrying it,so it was on for $179 with a $20 rebate.
They may already be completely out though.

While for me [still a geek of course], I was happy getting the 1.5G iRiver igp-100 for $159 at Best Buy. It's small enough to work out with, and holds plenty of music for me. Plus it's enough to hold 2 iso's worth of data if I need.
Of course, the other advantages that got me to buy it were the ogg support, and the fact that it requires NO software at all. Just plug it into a windows or linux [and presumably mac] box, and drag and drop your music.
And the battery lasts long enough that I can play it all day while I'm at work.
It [mini-ipod] just wasn't worth the extra $100 to me for a player that won't play the oggs, and requires annoying software setup to work. The extra space would have been nice, but not terribly necessary.
I was thinking more along the lines of this giving people a good reason to re-evaluate their use of Microsoft Office, and perhaps move to OpenOffice.org or StarOffice, or KOffice or...... "
I know I try to us non-MS office products as much possible, even when I'm in Windows.
Well, I'm running on a Dual Xeon 1.8ghz. A 20 man server is taking up 90-95% of one of the cpu's. [I have a 20 man server per cpu] So, you might be ale to run a 2 man server or so?:) Who knows. Give it a try, and see how it runs. That's the only way to find out.
I like my guages where they are, and putting something like that in my helmet is just a recipe for disaster as my eyes try to focus in and out between the display and the road and the horizon. It would lead to a lot of eye strain, which directly translates to extreme danger for a motorcycle.
Actually the whole point of a HUD is to stop this. You already have to change your focus between the road [12-?00ft] in front of you and your guages [1-2ft] in front of you. HUDs are set to be in focus while you are looking at the road/horizon ahead so that you DON'T have to re-focus your eyes.
You don't really need to go that far [into illegality], but you're on the right track. Maybe have a spam-net and when one of the servers detects a spammer, it propagates the offending IP to the rest of the spamnet. You then can use that as an rbl or as firewall rules or whatever for your real mail server.
Ok I did some more searching and this is what I found. It looks like if you contribute code to a FSF project, they require you to assign the copyright to them. And I'm not 100% sure I'm reading this right, but they seem to suggest something similar for your own programs.
Sorry for the confusion, but I wasn't suggesting the GPL suggested this. I had simply remembered the FSF suggesting it a long time ago.
I don't really see how you think the article misses the point. It seems to me that both the article and the road-map you linked to have the same goal: An easy to remember, well branded product.
The roadmap seems to focus on the naming of the various pieces. That's fine, the article also suggests moving to calling Firebird - Mozilla Browser, and Thunderbird - Mozilla Mail. The article simply expands that to include visual branding and identity, which would be nothing but a good thing.
It's nice to see such an intelligent, well-thought out article. I love Mozilla and would love to see it reach the point where anyone can use it as their main browser, and be comfortable in knowing that it is a good piece of software. While many of us here have no problem running Mozilla as their main browser, I'd have to say that most people need to see a well integrated system before they feel comfortable using it. Otherwise Mozilla will remain 'that geeky browser wannabe' to the world.
I for one am hoping Mozilla takes note of this article and integrates its ideas on the way to making some excellent software.
I've found that sometimes the info pulled from cddb isn't accurate regarding compilations. For instance, I ripped Sting's new cd "Sacred Love" [not his best work, btw], and iTunes put it in the Compilation folder. There were a few albums that I had to go through and remove the 'compilation' bit for.
But overall I've been happy with iTunes. Now if only it would let me log into the Music Store. I tried to start a new account, and it says the Music Store is busy. Then I created an account on Apple's website. When I try to log in with that, iTunes says I need to review the information, but when I click on "Review" it just drops me back at either my Library, or the main Music Store page. Very annoying. I didn't want to wait, so I went ahead and bought the new Jonny Lang on CD. That's $10 that Apple lost to this bug...
Well, they probably would if Spamalot was out yet...

Um, you can get 144k/144k [sometimes 160k] IDSL up to like 36,000 feet.
Unfortunately it costs $100/month for that, but it's better than nothing.

Redundant because that very fact was mentioned in the article. Therefore it is redundant.

Doesn't the GPL require you to assign your copyright to the Free Software Foundation? Only the FSF can take action.
No, I think it suggests that you do so, but it does not require it.

Yes, I've been getting this fairly often.
I've found that if you go ahead and view the article, then from the article click 'view thread' it will then show you the thread.
