    It was, according to independent testing and according to VW's marketing: More powerful than gasoline cars, more fuel efficient, and less polluting. The fix, whatever it is, will probably reduce the power available, or reduce fuel economy, in order to bring it within limits. Probably reducing power. So I bought the based on false pretenses. Oh, and I paid more for it than I would have for a gasoline vehicle.

    So, yeah, I was definitely defrauded. Of potentially several thousand dollars.

    that were classified are still classified. It's illegal for some people to talk about those documents outside of SCIFs, since the documents are classified TS/SCI/SI. They've been published on the front page of the Washington Post, but are still classified.

    And then there's the lovely practice of retroactive classification. Sometimes a document can be classified after it's been publicly disseminated.

    Burger flipping is ripe for automation anyway. The rest of making an automated McDees is already done. Royal Farms uses touch screens for the customers to order, and the automated checkouts are in all the grocery stores now.

    I worked in industrial automation 20 years ago, and I knew then that the day when people who were intellectually on the left side of the bell curve were unemployable was coming. No here quite yet, but in the next 10 years it will become a major political and social issue.

    The Secure Enclave is hackable via the update method. Apple pushes an iOS update that disables the 10 tries to unlock function, and then another update to the Secure Enclave. Neither of those updates requires that the phone be unlocked by the user.
