Do you know what a Phase is? As in 3 or 5 Phase Supply.
No? Don't even try to look at the job, do be honest go on a course now and make sure your each line of racks is on the same phase. (Also why power should aways be brought into the every rack and you should never connect a plug from one rack into a socket in another.) Connection across a phase is far worse that between live and neutral:-)
Do you have certification (so if someone sues you because of a wiring mistake you can prove you atleast should have been working on the supply), and Also insurance so when you are sued it does not flush your complete life.
No? Then you should not be doing anything between the supply and socket. Yes sparkies cost alot but they are payed to take the risks for you, and leave the site in a setup that its quite difficult to kill yourself power wise.
Third and final is your company going to pay for 2 people to have these skills, you will probably find it is illegal to work on power or cabling (under the floor) alone. You need a buddy to raise the alarm and who knows what to do when you do have a problem.
In my life I have had a 230 volt shock and a 5KV shock from power supplies, both times it really hurt and I was lucky and I knew what I was doing and still made a mistake. Anyway my point is this is a high current supply system and you don't know what your doing. You accidently connect yourself to it the breakers probably will not even fire and your dead electricity is not a toy, I am suprise they have not banned it yet;-)
If you really do what do to learn how to do this, get yourself on a proper cause, they are not too long, then you will be qualified to do it
But it might be just cheaper to hire someone else to do the work, its the orginal idea behind that of a "contractor" is someone with skills that are difficult to learn or spensive to maintain and you do not need to have access to them all the time. There by you can save money by not having to pay the "full cost" for the skills cos other employers of the contractor will effectively be sharing the price or the skills, and the contractor can change a premium for the short duration of the job finally and most importantly 10 or your man days could be supplied by 10 contractors in 1 day.
You really wanna save money, learn what the job should require, then collect estimates and then question the pricing and reasoning for it or pay one company to vet the bids from others for a fee but not allow them to bid for the contract themselves, you can even get the to check the safety of the work afterwards.
That was exactly my thought, there was me hoping to see how they waterproofed the mother board then used the heat (with liquid cooling) to run a tropical aquarium. But it was just a flat panel fake fish tank oh well next!
One question is, do we know exactly what licence sequent had? If I were IBM I would be keeping that one close to my chest till there day in court, because it would be so useful for damages. The answer is yes it should when in the monopoly situtation what microsoft currently finds itself in, until that point it can do as it wishes. There is a big difference a monopoly player and a "new entrant" (low market share) player are expected to behave. This is also all to do with bundling things with the OS. KDE is only part of a system. A better example would be Red Hat, this offers several difference desktops (unlike windows), LSB systems are also making for binary interoperability with other flavours like Suse etc which is produced by a different company, again something that microsoft does not do.

So Uncle Fred who just got arrested for being drunk, just them sample for a family line. Think it cannot be done? They can use the parts that only get passed on though the mothers side and changes very slowing to get a nice family grouping. They could but I doubt they would for the simple reason, they are competing against rechargable batteries if they do not offer a product that works better for a similar price they will not get anyone to switch from the status quo, after all rechargables are good enough that we don't use one time batteries. Refilling does not have to be free, electric seems free, just cos you get the bill all in one go and forget about it. Refilling just has to be convenient [going to a shop each time is not convenient unless like your car you can do it once a week] and cost effective [comparied to the status quo], 10-20 cent refil would be my guess.
Working better does not just mean extended life is the only thing that might be improved. Other options are, better shelf life (i.e sitting idle for 6 months on 3/4 full and still be 3/4 full on use). Still providing 5 hours of unconnected usage after 2 years of product use.
Depends really, if you could design a casing that when ruptured neturalising all the methanol that would be one option. Another option would be to allow them to be flown "empty", and allow people to plugin laptops (A much more useful thing for long haul anyway) also then they could sell you more methanol at the other end... It was not long ago people where not allowed to use computers at all on planes, if the business customers (high value) demands it, it will be made to happen some how. If this is the only way to get a "battery" that still works to anything like its full lifetime 3 months after purchance, it will happen.
It says it the article that your be able to refil it, (hay you gas your car without thinking about it). Methanol is very cheap you will be able to buy a bottle of it from a Home Improvement (DIY) shop for 2 bucks and the size bottles they sell I will expect that will be 10-20 or so charges. Which compares quite favourably with electric. As to flying on planes and such, they are making sure the are approved before releasing them to the public.
The RSA patent is perhaps not the right one to talk about, one of the problems the "europians" had with the patent was the fact that GCHQ in the UK had already worked out all the logic behind prime number pairs prior to the patent. They just (normal for the UK) wanted to keep it secret so they could use it. If they had infact gone public it probably would not be called RSA.
Not to mention the fact that criminals are now car cloning, they find someone with the same car and copy the number plate and all the fines go to that person and the police does not give a damn, "it looks the same in the picture", the bbc has a article about someone who spent weeks tracking down the cloner themselves.
I was not thinking of using a secure transport I was thinking that the messaged would be signed with the public key so the reserving server know it orginated from a server that was allowed to send email for that domain even though it might have been though a number of relays before it got to it. Yup everyone could have signing in there clients, but that means end users have to be educated rather than System admins.
This is why the RMX should actually be a public key, authorised servers to post for that domain have a copy of thatr public key, infact, there is no reason why every server could not have a different one which could be published in the DNS. If a private key is stolen you just revoke it and generate a new one. Relays could relay but would not be able to change the content. The problem with a key system is its far more difficult to get everyone to agree to what they key format and encryption should be, there is no debate with the IP system.
You can setup an SSL-Authenicating posting SMTP server that allows relaying from you. It being authenicating means it only works from your laptop. Its also a good thing TM, cos it will queue any messages for you, so you can disconnect from the network and it will worry about delayed messages.
