*Doing* what? Sharing large numbers with my friends and their friends? When will they learn that a mp3 file is just a stream of bits, which in turn is just a VERY large number. Are they going to sue me for that?

    Helooooo...

Are they going to sue my neighbour playing music so load that I can hear it outside his window for sharing the music with me?

    Independent Creation

So how far can this clause be extended?

"Oh, this is not a pirated mp3! I created the music myself. Really."

  6. How do I measure my bandwith then? on Will Cable Unplug the File Swappers? · · Score: 1

Now, this is as probably some already has said, quite logical that they do.

But how will I know (when my ISP decides to do this evull thing) how much bandwith I really use so that I can choose which type of service I shall choose. Of course I *want* the broadest one (especially when downloading large files from my friends) but sometimes the price sets the limit.

I'm using Linux so I assume that some kind of measuring program should be available.

    Any ideas/hints?

Alluding in an abstract way to "the dangers this can bring", without specifically mentioning a single one of these supposed dangers, shows at the least some lack of knowledge of the topic. So, allow me to enlighten you on these points.

  25. More info here... on Spintronics in your Future? · · Score: 2, Informative
Spintronics, or spin electronics, refers to the study of the role played by electron (and more generally nuclear) spin in solid state physics, and possible devices that specifically exploit spin properties instead of or in addition to charge degrees of freedom. For example, spin relaxation and spin transport in metals and semiconductors are of fundamental research interest not only for being basic solid state physics issues, but also for the already demonstrated potential these phenomena have in electronic technology (some short reviews). The prototype device that is already in use in industry as a read head and a memory-storage cell is the giant-magnetoresistive (GMR) sandwich structure which consists of alternating ferromagnetic and nonmagnetic metal layers. Depending on the relative orientation of the magnetizations in the magnetic layers, the device resistance changes from small (parallel magnetizations) to large (antiparallel magnetizations). This change in resistance (also called magnetoresistance) is used to sense changes in magnetic fields. Recent efforts in GMR technology have also involved magnetic tunnel junction devices where the tunneling current depends on spin orientations of the electrodes.
