I'll bet dollars to donuts that while you may be *registered to vote* with the Democrat party, you are not a *party member* which means something else. People who go to the lengths of actual party membership may have more strongly held views, but are generally less flippant in their language.

Sorry, but you're scarier. Rumsfeld is interested in doing what's necessary to defend us, and he doesn't pussyfoot around with language. He has a genuine appreciation for technology, and is not just impressed or distracted by blinking lights.

You, on the other hand, would compromise our safety because you feel like being an obediant "progressive" requires you to denegrate anything military-related.

    I would first recommend
    • A course in Mathematics for Students of Physics by Bamberg & Sternberg
    • Mathematical Methods of Classical Mechanics by V. I. Arnol'd (anything by Arnol'd would be a terriffic place to start)
And then move on to the physics, like
    • The Large Scale Structure of Spacetime by Hawking and Ellis
    • but first you might want to skim Gravitation by Misner, Thorne, and Wheeler.
    • Dirac's Quantum Mechanics is nice and short without being overly simplistic.
    Hope this helps!

Why on earth did they put the term "fair use" in quotes?

Don't sweat it. Reuters, as a matter of policy, also puts the word "terrorism" in quotes when it is perpetrated by brown people. That's meant to show how egalitarian and progressive they are. I'm sure they intend it to be nothing but complimentary when they write "fair use" in quotes.

  13. Re:Fair and well balanced article. on Palladium, 'Trusted PCs' in the News · · Score: 0

Reuters is hardly "fair and balanced," unless your definition of "balance" involves giving terrorists and the tyrannies who sponsor them equal, if not greater, moral footing than the world's democracies.

The .NET framework is terriffically complicated, and is not capable of being explained in 200 words or less. All companies with an eye on the future are moving to .NET, and if your company is not, it is a sure sign of bad leadership. .NET is designed for smart business. Only smart people can understand it, and the true measure of business sense is how far one's company is going to invest in .NET technologies.
