It will be interesting to see how it compares to Delphi too.
Although this was moderated as "Funny", I think it's a serious question. It's common, when making what are essentially marketing comparisons, to leave out competitors that would make your target "less amazing".
So, let me ask, in what language was coded the first C# compiler ? or the first C++ compiler ? or the first Java compiler ?
I don't have any inside information about those, but I can relate my own experience back in the 1980's. I wrote a Pascal compiler (to run on Motorola 6809, an 8 bit processor) in 6809 assembly language. Later, when the 68000 was catching on I first modified the code generator to produce 68000 code instead of 6809 code. I used that kludge (it was not a commercial product) to write a 68000 Pascal compiler in 6809 Pascal. Once done, that compiler could then be compiled with itself on the 68000 system.
This has been happening for years, there's nothing special about C in this regard. In fact, I think I read that the C# compiler is written in C#, no reason for it not to be.
Spam is here because there is a small percentage of people stupid enough to purchase the spam-vertised products. Likewise, if there is a small percentage of people stupid enough to fall for SCO's extortion, then it's a success. What are the chances that any of these "licensees" will get their money refunded when SCO loses?

But I did split the house into three "psuedo zones". There are temperature sensors in three areas, only one of which is used to control the central heating/cooling at any one time. This keeps the occupied area pretty close in temperature, while the un-occupied areas have less control.
Not as good as using dampers, but much simpler. I put a copy of the webpage for this system on my website: System_Hvac
I bought a PC Multiscope from Jameco and found out that it didn't actually sample both channels simultaneously, making it basically worthless. One of the things you want to be able to do is to look at clock and data lines and measure the timing between them, and for that you need simultaneous sampling. Needless to say, that pile went back to Jameco.
I bought a DSO-2100 from Link Instruments and have been very pleased with it. Probably one of the best investments I've ever made.
Cool, I just ordered a FM100B to play with. Boy, I haven't built a kit since the Heathkit days of old. Of course, what will probably happen is that they won't actually have any in stock (like Heathkit) and I'll cancel the order;)
iron takes about 1.2KW, or just over 1KW for a toaster.
Yes, but you don't use that iron or toaster 24 hours per day, do you? If it generates 1KW, and you run it 24 hours per day, that 24KWH per day. My latest electricity bill says I used 22KWH last month.
Generally a fuel cell will be used to charge a battery bank which will then be used to power a DC to AC inverter (to get 110 or 220VAC for normal appliances). The battery provides the peak current required for heavy loads, the fuel cell keeps the battery charged.
Yes, an interesting book. I haven't actually used any code out of it for any of my CS8900 projects (used with ZF486, ADSP2189, and PIC18F252) but has some good ideas.
Buy a CS8900 [embeddedethernet.com] module.
At $70, a bit high, the edtp board is $50 and can be used in either 8bit or 16bit mode.
Tomorrow, the judge rules on whether SCO has "identified with specificity" the alleged infringements.
Magistrate Notice of Hearing [uscourts.gov]
Motion hearing set for 10:00 2/6/04 for all pending motions:... To be held before Judge Wells.
Dude, my calender says that tomorrow is the 4th, not the 6th.
They should do something about all those spammers using their service. Seems like about 20% of the spams I run through SpamCop resolve back to Comcast as the email source.
If you have Opera identify as Opera then you don't get the article, you get some sort of table of contents page. If you change it to identify as MSIE 6.0 then you get the article.
The phones are for communicating with the dispatcher. One method is for the dispatcher to light a signal light at a station when he wants an engineer to stop and contact the dispatcher. It is also common for an engineer to call the dispatcher when departing a station.

Delphi 8 also produces .net code from object pascal source. Not sure how well the resulting code will run on Mono or DotNet.
The bush regime has solved that problem by keeping those images off of TV screens.

Religion and ethics are two different things.
If the terms of service require the disclosure of the use of Neuticles?

I think that was trademarked many years ago by Oregonians.
Seems to me there should be a moderation option of "Incorrect". About all you can do now is moderate it as "Overrated".
Lot's of people know Pascal, especially Europeans, where it is far more popular than in the states.

You can have seperate mailing (in my case, PO Box) and shipping addresses (in my case, street address).

When I click the link in Opera all I get is a blank page.

I still have one of these. Although the antenna has trouble, umm, maintaining an erection, it still works.
