    When cash is no longer "in your hand" then it's no longer in your control. A cashless society is a VERY slippery slope and needs to be treated as such.

    Small moves are necessary to ensure that there are adequate solutions to the fears and doubts that people will inevitably have about such a move.

    A cashless society means you are at the financial mercy of whomever is in control of the little 1s and 0s in the financial sector.... and it won't be you!

    This whole employee (but really just contractor) setup is just a circumvention of labor laws. Placing all the liability and expenses on the drivers while leaving the pricing and rule setup to the company. Once these companies become successful then the circumvention of labor laws becomes a little more apparent and needing to be addressed.

    I actually remember Obama being pretty bi-partisan in his first term. The conservative reaction was to take what was given and demand more, then point the finger when they didn't get things 100% their way

    Maybe it's to make people more efficient with their peeing.... Instead of making X trips at $Y maybe you're holding it more so you can pay less between trips and get that extra drink!

    They're likely referring to the earths surface area, as that is the what they would use to estimate how much of the suns heat is reflected back out into space because of the ice.

    A government's JOB is (as a representative of the people as a whole) to do what the people want it to do. A government is supposed to act in ways that an individual cannot to achieve things an individual cannot. So if the people deem that everyone has the right to a job or even basic income/welfare, then who are you to say otherwise.

    If it is even true it is interesting to see that the Russians are doing more for transparency then the pop media, the DNC and the alphabet mafia.

    Doing more for transparency (in areas where it serves their interests) Let's talk about transparency in their involvment in Ukraine... what? those soldiers are just on vacation? the people voted overwhelmingly to annex Crimea!? .. well hell.. it must be true because Russia is the champion of (conservatives) errr. transparency in government!
