umm.. retardo, that is why the guy in the blog post talks about research into STORAGE being a very large item on the solar agenda. The fact though that all the nuclear power in the world could not add up in time to the power requirements (then there is the problem of storage of waste at that level of production).
Solar may be variable on the local scale, but it is constant on the aggregate. Oh, BTW, they have figured out how to make non-silicon based solar panels, so they get easier and cheaper to make.
actually a VW TDI Jetta is about 19 grand and a Golf is about 16k.
problem for me is that I do not want to have 50 gallon barrels of B100 shipped to my house every few weeks to keep a fuel supply going, and petro diesel is crazy expensive now that China has exploded into the industrial revolution.
sure, B100 is about 70 cents a gallon, but it is a lot of hassle.
really, I would like to know. ID is about the creation of organisms on earth, NOT about how they develop over time(which is what evolution is about)
you want to expose the kids to ID, do it in the right setting, either have a section in the bio-chem book about pre-biotic chemistry and ID, or have a class that discusses the different ideas of creation of life on earth.
truly, I think it belongs in the second option because ID is not science at all.
ID as explained is not ID as practiced, because if it was practiced as explained, there would be no evolution issues. ID is an answer to how organisms got here, evolution is an answer to what happens to organisms over time.
all the ID people are just creationists who decided a new name would help their idiotic cause to discredit science.
and then your boss looks at it, says, "yeah that was fast but I told you to do it using {C#/VB.net/ActivePerl/IronPython/what-ever-else-as p.net-language}. Redo it by tonight.
I love TurboGears. It is easier to set up and SQLObject is nicer to work with than the database tools in Rails. but it is also a Python based framework, so if you are a rubynista, then rails is defiantly the way to go.
IPTV is on the rise, and soon Content providers will be independent and they will not care about the broadcast flag. What they will care about is a way to track the number of views their video gets, and that could be done in the codec so that every time a video gets watched, it sends a ping to a server running a program that keeps records of the number of pings it gets.
The artist pays for all the production costs for their music. the Music company USED to pay the distribution costs, and now with on-line stores, they do not have to do that because apple pays for that, or napster, or yahoo, etc. and the record industry thinks they deserve cuts of the profits of windows, iPods, Google ads, etc? are they fucking nuts?
actually, the parent was talking about Pentium processors and was calling the mac slow because the grandparent said that it takes over night to encode a movie.... BTW, 6 hours is not over night.
The RIAA has decided that concerts are too much of a threat to their revenues because of the ability of people to record the performance and trade it on-line. Any Rock star that performs in a public venue will be sued.
umm, that is why Apple uses Rosetta.

If you ever ask RFK, Jr. what his issue is with the wind farm, it is that there are other locations to place the farm that are not in the state park.

care to explain what ID has to do with Evolution?

whoa, I think I saw you a few times on games.
calm down.
all the innovation is done in the modules, not the server
but you can do that with out smarty.

and you set that up how?

then the trading can ensue.
are you a fucking moron? RUBY is Imperative NOT Functional.
M-Theory.

When I am encoding my CPU is not useless.
at least one copy can be made to an electronic format, and no region encoding? sweet!!!
I hope Apple jumps on this because then they could have all they need for a video iPod
actually, the parent was talking about Pentium processors and was calling the mac slow because the grandparent said that it takes over night to encode a movie.... BTW, 6 hours is not over night.
No, the guy just does not know what he is talking about.
on my 1 GHz G4, it takes about 1 hour to rip the DVD and then about 4-5 hours to encode it depending on the compression.
huh?
Does the writer think that intel is owned by MS?

yeah, because WMA is so open.
It is the tech angle. There is a lot that is bad about this choice.
