I try to let amazon know every time I possibly can with feedback. The 3rd party seller "please rate me with a positive review" email spam is awful. I'm about to stop buying online and buying at brick and mortar stores again -- why? because when I buy a stick on deodorant at Target, no one asks me to post a review. If I really really like something (or hate it), I'll find my way online and post a review if I so desire. That is how amazon (3rd party or not) should operate.
This was really the worst product launch ever. I was refreshing their page from 5 minutes prior and hit their distributor's pages in seconds after the announcement. Nothing... I couldn't get past the first page before the site went down. I have to say it was VERY disappointing. I'd have been happy with not getting one because I didn't click fast enough, but not getting one because of a random server outage? yea, I'm not very happy right now -- especially after following the product for such a long time.
You have nothing to lose by attending, nothing at all. If you find it to be a waste of time after you go, don't go again if you don't want to. Life is about your experiences - if you're at home doing whatever it is you do normally, that's 1 less thing for you.
I was in an interview once and was bumped out of the running because I answered the question as you described above "the right way." My interviewer thought the correct answer was to ask for help from him or someone else within the organization.
This goes further than just Javascript apps, this combines CSS, HTML, etc for use in building desktop applications for Linux (coming soon), Win32 and MacOSX
Not to mention involved in large-scale economy manipulation in EQ and other games.
Basically, when 1 company buys everything (and buys up competitors who start up buying companies for resale), you're forced to buy from them, they can jack up the price to whatever they want.
The irony of the whole situation is that because they jack up the price of "UberSword001", you're 'forced' (yes, not forced, but you're left with few in-game options aside from farming a ton) to purchase gold/plat from IGE. They use the profits from your purchase to then fund the in-game purchases and jack up the price even further... Each time you buy/sell from IGE they take a bigger and bigger cut.
The very best of all of these was EV1Servers if you want top notch support. I ended up going with Vaultnetworks due to price. They had a better piece of hardware with more bandwidth, but they're much more "hands off" when it comes to management. This suited me just fine because I'm comfortable rolling out my own patches and fixes (I used cPanel so much of this was done for me anyway).
I've recently "downscaled" my webhosting business to friends-family only, and I was in need of something smaller with the same power. I chose JaguarPC's VPS solution. So far I can say that I'm completely impressed. I ditched cPanel and I signed up earlier in the year for a 1MB unmetered solution and I must say that I "feel" like the server is just as good as the one I paid $130/mo for with VaultNetworks (I'm paying $20/mo with Jag).
Lucky me, I was in HS asking this same question when the HP48GX just came out... Glad I got the HP:) My calculator for life... ohh, and thanks for reminding me to replace the batteries.
Lots of things in the constitution don't apply to people under the age of 18. For example, the right to privacy? Parents can snoop on and barge in on their kids as long as they want very legally. Schools can restrict where kids can go and kids can't buy certain video games if they're not "approved". Although, I think the "M" label is not legally binding (someone correct me if I'm wrong).
Mozilla crashed for me as well... then I uninstalled it.

I was a VIP (friends in the right places -- gogo Wino!), but IIRC, Quakecon charged for some basic services like the BYOC. It was a nominal sum like $20 or $40 to hook your comptuer up, but the actual convention was indeed free.
Let laptops connect, as long as the networks is a totally private one not connected to anything behind the counter, it won't matter if laptops connect. Heck, maybe they'll encourage laptop games soon *Shrug*
Did anyone else find it interesting that they're comparing 4200 RPM drives to a 5400 RPM drive?
Also, one reason to have smaller, slower drives in a laptop is the heat. I'd love to find some benchmarks on how this gigantic HD did in the heat test. Who knows, it might have done great - but that review is sorely lacking from a die-hard laptop user.
"patch 1" was released months ago in beta... This game is about as clean as one can get. The final stress test had some lag issues, but apparently those have been fixed (although I can't say that for sure.)
My recommendation is go to go walmart or wherever and get your copy today.
As long as you have access to the internet (in my case I just have all my friends bring me their pute so i can work on it from my house) you can get all those pesky drivers... ISP info is easy, sit them down at the phone and tell them to call up and set it up via the tech support. no reason you should have to fix your friend's friend's sister-in-law's computer to the point of sitting on hold for 4 hours.
I know in Indiana they have what is known as "at will employment." While companies can make non-compete clauses, the employer can not make it stick.
My old company sort of worked around this. They had their customers sign "non-compete" clauses. We had a guy quit and apply for a posision at one of our customers. My old firm found out, sued the company, not the individual, and won.
I think they settled though, the company agreed to continue purchasing a support contact for XX years (i.e. to show that they weren't hiring this guy to replace their contract.)
I've had satellite for 2 years now. I've lost my signal maybe 2-3 times total during VERY HEAVY rains... We're talking monsoon style rain... It sucks when it happens, but I've had cable go out before in the middle of a football game for no apparent reason.

How was he fired exactly? I totally get that he got screwed and all, but I don't see how this led to a firing in any stretch of the imagination.

Dude, go. Meet people. Have a good time.

If an interviewer yelled at me -- even in a mock situation -- I would walk out of the interview right then. I'm worth more than that.

Put me in on the HP48GX.... Once you go HP, you'll never say the name "TI" again.
