Interesting that this discussion shows up at the top of the results:)
Still, the lack of coverage by major networks means that their arrest will generate some local interest, but no real national awareness. I'm not holding my breath for the major news networks to jump on this and question why only 2 presidential candidates can get airtime, which I assume was their ultimate goal.
He now gets prominent headlines and a nice association with freedom of speech. He's making himself impossible to ignore. The right thing to do, IMHO.
Except, unfortunately, as of this writing neither Google news nor CNN or FOXNEWS has any stories about this, or even returns any results for 'Badnarik arrest'. Not only is a presidential candidate on the ballot in 48 states refused entry into a presidential debate, but his arrest isn't even covered!
You know, when I saw the title, I thought it would be a statment about how the editors have realised that posting ads as stories is wrong, and that they would stop, etc...
It has been getting worse though, to the point where they don't even try and make it sound like news.
We've sorta got that already, Natural Selection, a HL mod where a commander views the battle from above while his troops battle aliens. Still, you're limited to 12 units a side, so it's more a FPS with stratagy then an RTS with smart (human) soldiers.
Just be glad that Slick Willy wasn't in office. He would have done jack squat about the Two Towers except make soothing noises.
Yeah, it would really suck if he didn't invade a country that never posed any threat to us. I mean, lying about WMD and sending hundreds of soldiers off to die is one thing, but lying about getting a blowjob? That's just sick.
Whats worse is it does nothing but give a slight piece of mind.
It's not about piece of mind, it's about the survival of our species. Besides, I'd rather that 5% of the DOD's money go to stopping asteroids then be spent on tanks.
When I was in 6th grade, my science teacher told us Nam stories. One of them involved members of his helicopter crew kicking spent fuel cans and ammo boxes out of the aircraft to sink boats that they where prevented from attacking under the rules of engagement.
I think another reason has to do with the way the US glorifies the military; so as a side effect we have to be desensitized to violence. Killing people (or at least threatening to) makes the US stronger and richer, people having sex does not.
That was actually my favorite part of the State of the Union; the Democrats interrupted him with applause after he said "...key parts of the Patriot Act expire this year", not waiting for him to finish with "you need to renew the Patriot Act!". Hopefully Congress will actually read the bill this time and we won't have the signing orgy we had on 9/12.
At a hospital where I used to work, they had a half-dozen or so 'mobile computers' (basically a laptop strapped to a wheeled base with a flat panel LCD and keyboard on a shelf). Not sure what they used them for, but they ran Win 2k. Last I saw one, it was stuck on the loading screen for a week or so. I really hope they weren't used for patient monitoring.

traceroute says that the 2nd to last hop is kcc.cust-gw.ipberlin.com, following some .de domains.

I doubt its well published ;)
Besides, using a radio doesn't get you 77 virgins.
Not like the hypocrisy of disguising a link to "antiwar" site.
Um, how is linking to an 'antiwar site' hypocritical?
So I'm going to have to doubt your claim.
Actually, there was a similar article on warflying here a few months ago.

Statistics disagree.
We don't inherit the earth - we borrow it from our children.
An idea that is tragically wasted on the average American with $1000s of CC debt.
As we've seen in the past, the executives of those companies just set up shop at a different company and start a new set of lawsuits.
True, that is why I propose that we execute the executives too...
The site is down, so I can't be sure but I'd guess that the actual internal chip never reached -120, just the heatsink or surrounding air.
How long until he shoots himself in the foot?

non-con=Non-Commissioned Officer, if IIRC
What on this green earth is that?
What the hell is this 'green earth'?
i don't think many folks here caught your joke reference ;)
You must be new here

Unless the Virus is GPL'ed, I doubt they'll have much evidence :)

Grif: I don't know, I think we could hold out for more.
Simmons: We don't have any bullets dumbass.
