DDT could save millions of lives. We tossed that to the side because of shaky science. Now we have Zika and that fix is killing bees.

So do we go back to ddt? Or just suffer the effects of Zika?

I was teaching a kid SQL and he fell into an issue where his joins and where when he gave up and asked why he wasn't getting the proper results.

So I sketched the answer on a whiteboard in less than two minutes and explained how his joins and cases were excluding the data he wanted. He spent a few days on the issue trying to figure it out on his own.

When he asked me how the hell I figured out so fast I told him that I ran into the issue years ago and simply asked someone with experience.

Thought crime didn't have lax punitive measures.

The problem in Chiraq (and I am in one of the suburbs) is that gun crime isn't treated as harshly as it should be. Some felon caught with a gun, or someone using a gun in a crime should serve the full time. But that doesn't happen. It's only going to get worse with a president closing prisons.

Full use of gun control laws in effect should be a priority. But they aren't. Instead they want to make new laws making scary looking rifles illegal.

Which of course, will not be enforced on people who commit crimes.
