Not to go against what you've said since most of it is spot on, but I've never gotten any grief for asking for 'the whole can' when I've flown recently.
yup, basically. The difference is that this method will transfer the heat a lot faster. Because of both greater surface area along the pipe vs the bucket, and also the air actively moving through the fan.
This will be much more likely for me when they actually come out with a mouse/kb input for FPS games. I can't stand using gamepads for those kind of games.
Another problem is the resolution -- HD offers up to 1080 lines, wheras my monitor has been doing at least that for 8 years. Lots of mmo games have text for chat, and it's hard to replace with voice-com (it gets annoying, or you want to listen to music, or watch TV while playing, which I do).
Either way I enjoy my console for my console type games, and my PC for FPS and MMO games.
because the costs of a droid army are not zero -- and the smarter you make them, the more they cost. so you can either zerg your enemies (standard battle droids) or outsmart them with smaller numbers of more advanced droids (destroyers). In most scenes in the movies, the meat soldiers were able to take out many droids, especially the jedi.
No they'll be fine. Once it goes country-wide, while it may be true that every citizen will be given a blog -- they will only be allowed to post once, what with all the over-bloggulation
I still don't get 'podcasting'... blogs are bad enough, but I hate talk radio so I don't think I'd be down with 'talk blogs'.
I guess I just don't get it cause I don't have an iPod.. maybe I'm not cool enough.
zai-zell
but they had to get the x, y, and z in the name to be eXZtrYM! (to the max!)
Maybe someday we'll have small portable phones we can take anywhere without worrying about needing 802.11b access! I can't wait for that to happen!
The year of the pig.
Sounds like my zip code whenever stores ask for it: 90120

He probably got that idea while having fun playing sports, go figure.
you are immediately qualified to be Chief Engineer of the USS Enterprise-D!
especially the part about the symetric connections. I'd be happy to get 5M upload at the moment.
but for deaf/blind people, the hw platform should be a pinball machine.
TommyOS!
Nah they just need to refer to it as 'Solar Power' and people will think it's great!
Yeah that was my guess: you would have to stow the sail once you stop accelerating.
I wonder how well this kind of propulsion will work in interestellar space where there is no solar wind, let alone enough protons from one direction.
Maybe they'll figure out how to tack eventually...
In the meantime -- anybody have a good adblock setting for his stories?
Seriously, does anyone really care anymore what Dvorak's newest 'theories' are?
or:
There's somethings that money can't buy, but for everything else, there's somebody else's MasterCard.
If somebody would like to translate these instructions into Chinese
I think he's hoping someone who knows chinese will help out, since he doesn't know it.

"Don't be too proud of this technological terror you've constructed. The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the Force."
