I gotta stand up for young children here. They don't "lie" (in the majority of cases). They are manipulated into by adults, who definitely have an agenda. Try this on a 5 year old: ask them a question. Keep asking the question until they change the answer. It will happen, and it doesn't take too long. There was a very famous case, the McMartin preschool Trial, where this was known to happen. I quote:
Critics have alleged that the questioners asked the children leading questions, repetitively, which, it is said, always yields positive responses from young children, making it impossible to know what the child actually experienced. Some claim the questioning alone may have led to false-memory syndrome among the children who were questioned.
Frontline did a series of documentaries on this case, spanning a few years. Very interesting. Check it out.

I live fairly close to where she disappeared. You probably don't know this, but there was an incredible effort to find her. Notices were posted everywhere, with her picture and information about her disappearance. From what I gather, it would be completely out of character for her to have left her children. As a parent, it is easy to tell how connected someone is to their kids. I'm sure her friends know this. For me, there is nothing in the universe that would make me leave my kid. Nothing. I believe she's dead.

There's another effect that these types of tests select for: the ability to work under pressure, but it's fake pressure. It's the pressure of the job interview, not the pressure of a real job. People can be really good at handling real job pressure and lousy at handling job interview pressure.

Consider the difference that electing Gore in 2004 could have made. Likely, there would have been no Iraq war. Just think of that. The many Billions of US$ that would be there for something else. The nearly 3000 Americans and 10's of thousands of Iraqis that would still be alive (yes, some of them would have died under Sadam, but not a significant number of them).

Yes, you have a choice between two people and it's not perfect. Get over it. Vote for the best person.

The only thing I can add: the last movie I saw (in an actual theatre) was Star Wars ep III. The film broke in the middle and we lost a few minutes of the film, in addition to the 10 minute wait. There was one other couple in the theatre, and they literally ran in and out of the place about 30 times (each time they received a phone call). Really fucking sad.
