What the license says? There must be a explicit term in the EULA for this type os misfortune. Something like "If PURCHASER loose the product key, the product will not be able to be reinstalled by PURCHASER, as COMPANY does not replace product keys in any way." Any other case, get a loyer...
And thank Sam Fortiner for the work done!
Can't you see there is a group of people trying to make a better broeser out of IE?
Are you blinded by your own arrogance?
Of course, as a "former" MS user, all I wanted was a clean, fast, secure, with no aplications at all and more efficient Windows to install the softwares I needed, AND a cool app-bloated gamer-oriented Windows for my games and for any kid sit and play.
Well, now I know there is Slackware and Knoppix...
This is the setup I have for two labs in my school:
1st lab:
Pentium4 2Ghz with XDMCP + KDE/Kdm
Pentium MMX 200MHz, 32Mb RAM 2Gb HD for X-Terminals
Running KDE smoothly with KDE educational tools, MatLab, Kylix, OpenOffice, Firefox 1.0 and some free Windows programs with Wine!
2nd lab:
AMD Duron 1.3 to 1.8 Ghz processores, 256Mb RAM and 20Gb HD runnin local Linux (NIS+NFS)
Everything runs Slackware Linux updated to version 10.1, very stable and fast (40 seconds from boot to login screen on P200)
I tuned de KDE startup for speed, removing un-necessary services. Works very nice (in portuguese) Spanish version of all software is also available.
Very easy to setup and maintain

"phpFileManager is a complete filesystem management tool on a single file. Features: server info, directory tree, copy/move/delete/create/rename/edit/view/chmod files and folders, tar/zip/bzip/gzip, multiple uploads, shell/exec, works on linux/windows"
The problem with the java viewer and the PDF export is the final user will not fully enjoy, say, an OOo presentation with effects and stuff... I ran through this exact same problem when tryin' to make an "autoplay" CD for a presentation (MS didn't helped eather, as you have to install ppviewer).

But none taken by YOU!
realy, almost impossible to clean, best solution is always trash...
This is a hack to render transparent pngs into a gif image using IE's filters. It's slow and only works with IMG tags. But works.

My hovercraft is full of eels
Now THAT was funny!

Where I work, pelople estarted using absolute paths for the new Java application. Dumb...
Moved to production server and it obviously did not work.
Slackware Live will do the job. The Disc 2 has 83Mb image loaded into RAM with some rescue tools
It was suposed to be a joke in the first place... nevermind ;D
There you go.... nothing to worry about!
There should be choice then. Lets put an option to disable the splash screen!

/. could use some persuasion techniques such as... "let us chache or your server DIES!"
yeah... right... why root password after all... ;D
Full administration with no root passwd is possible only using sudo...
I'm using Firefox 1.0 (MOOX M2) and the shortcut is ctrl+#
