    I have a calling card that I got through WalMart. The caller ID comes up as Denver, CO. I live in PA. This is via my cell or my land-line...

    The plot and setting is right from the game.

    Ummm... which one? Doom 1, 2 (and 2's other versions) were all placed in large environments. Doom 3 (so far) is placed in very dark, almost catacomb areas. Drasticly different...

    I know of none.

    It's hardly magical if you're able to read the specs for the player/writer before you buy them.

    I was talking about my existing collection. I have 60+ DVDs siting right behind me. My current DVD player is a couple years old. Are the new ones not able to be played by my current player?

    That was / is my point, sir.

    Yep, MOST. Do I have one of the magical playres *AND* DVD collection that is/are compatible? Who knows...

    No you don't. That's what the tarballs are for. I run Gentoo. That said, I was playing with Be for a while, and they even provided "drivers" for that, too. If you're not running Linux, Win* or OS-X, I can then assume you're running a BSD? There's drivers for that too.

    Yep, you're 100% right in that part. They do, however, own how their chip works and how to get various "systems" to work 100% with it/them. That was more of the point, my understanding is.

    So... when is the Linux client for Doom 3 going to be released? I bought Doom 3 the day it came out (it runs pretty well with WineX...), but, I'm waiting for the Linux version. Anyone know when it's due out?
