As it has been pointed out there are exceptions to that clause.
The rest of the clause is " and (a) which does not relate (1) to the business of the employer or (2) to the employer's actual or demonstrably anticipated research or development, or (b) which does not result from any work performed by the employee for the employer. Any provision which purports to apply to such an invention is to that extent against the public policy of this state and is to that extent, void and unenforceable."
Absolutly nothing. Boston has been royally fubarred for a long time. I got around boston great as long as I took the T, once I got in my rental car it was another story.
Which is correct. If you read the man pages for uname you see that -r prints the operating system release level, which will give you 5.8. I'm not saying I agree with it, just saying how it is.
Actually SunOS is applied to the operating system, and Solaris the operating environment, which includes SunOS. Also solaris stopped being refered to as 2.x at the 2.6 release, since then it has simply been Solaris 7, 8, 9.
You obviously don't understand the NEED for rugadized computers. What good is 4 crappy comercial laptops when your on a ship that is torpedoed or a plane that crashes? Those four laptops will be toast, but a properly rugadized computer has a good choice of still running. This is important when your LIFE may depend on that laptop.
Actually all jokes about slashdotting are OLD as hell. It doesn't matter if they happen or not, they are still not funny, and you know, we have heard them all before.
SMC may not be known to people who don't use solaris (no real suprise here, it is the Solaris Management Console (not the Sun Management Console as you say). It is however known to people who actually use solaris. The first version, which appeared in 8 was a dog. They overhauled it alot for S9. That being said real solaris sys admins really don't use it.
Speaking from experience they don't break your fingers if you plug anything into an outlet. They pefrom a safety inspection on the wire, i.e. cutting it into tiny bits if it is a crappy extension cord, or taking it down to the "lab", also known as their toolbox.
Sun sold out and went X86. Uhmmm where have you been. They almost did not make Solaris 9 for X86. It was only due to alot of work by the "not so secrect group of six" and other people that Sun made Solaris 9 for X86
I love solaris on a sparc, but sometimes I want to run it on an X86. I am glad to have the option to do both.
Well personally I travel alot, make a fair amount of long distance calls, and make most of them at night. With almost unlimited nights and weekends, no roaming, free long distance from anywhere in the us, to anywhere in the US I could not see a reason to not get a cell phone. I could also see no reason to have a home phone anymore.
I also discovered the added benefit of having a cell phone, telemarketers can not legally call my cell.
Funny I saw nowhere in that article where it said that the main demographic of the people that purchased the life sized replica were people making $30,000 a year with a family, 2 kids and a dog.
I only know of two class b submarines. Both were non nuclear. The USS Bass(SS-164) was a US Class B sub, and the Brits had a class B costal sub. You must be old as hell pops. The Bass was used for target practice in 1945, and the british class b was builit in 1904.
This is usually how rookie unproven writers get screwed, especially authors who have had succesful novels. This is unfortuantly very common in the movie industry. Established names usually never have a problem getting Gross Points instead of Net Points, they are real tight with Gross Points because there are only so many of them to go around (Gross Points also count as an expense driving down the pool available to Net Points). I don't get why Stan didn't have a better entertainment lawyer.
We are not all linux power users. Some are windows users, some are solaris users, some are casual linux users. Thats what makes the world great. Diversity.
This is news for nerds, stuff that matters. Not all nerds are the same. Stuff that matters to me may not matter to you, stuff that matters to you may not matter to me.
If you don't like it don't read the articles you don't want to. Please don't whine about them. Plenty of articles that will appeal to you will come.
I just noticed the sticker thingy, edic, easter dental insurance company. Definaltly would be doing the large type of DB work on Oracle to warrant a few Sun Fire 15K's.
The contest was a fast prototyping contest. You had 72 hours to complete the contest. Ocaml's strong type checking and garbage collection can make a big difference.
Of course an excellent C programmer, with excellent tools can prototype fast, but they have to have more domain knowledge and a more intimate understanding of their language.
From the contest web site. "correctness, algorithmic cleverness, and performance will matter"
I had the same idea, see my post, same time, 2 message id's before you =). Anyway I'm assuming it is one of the many sun resellers, sun resselers are huge in the UK and Eurpoe, where they apperently save you a ton of money. It could also be one of the refurbished sellers. I doubt a refurb would have anything that big though, the biggest thing anysystems (my favorite refurb dealer and where I have picked up a ton of Ultra 1 170e's) has is a E6500.
Side note anysystem.com doesn't seem to have anymore ugly duckling specials on the Ultra 1 170e's. Damn shame really. They do have a 200 though. I'm also glad to see someone else referr to it propely as a Sun Fire 15k.

Mythbusters did this already on Discovery Channel.
A 67 Imapala with rockets on the top. Dang cool.
Well I know Red Hat is certifed as a COE OS by the DoD, but I do not believe that SUSE has been.
If that is the case then why does it come in DIN size. You don't have to worry about din height if it is the trunk or under the dash.
Actually it was configurable by the admin. The first VMS system I used kept 3, others 5.
Sounds like something Philippe Kahn might say.

Well there are a fair amount of Solaris Jokeys on slashdot as well.
It is after all News for Nerds, not Linux News.
/cydrive/c /cygdrive/d
While I know you are trolling I will bit anyway.
Not only is dd on various *nixes, bsd's, etc, it is also available on windows. It is called cygwin, and it has dd also.
