It is really not up to the ISP to check the validity of anything. That is what court is for.
What they should do is simply leave the site up and refuse to give out any personal details until they receive a court order compelling them to take an action.
This makes me really mad. So, I sent another $25 over to the EFF. Money is obvioiusly the only vote I have that matters. It's therefore best to send it to the right people.
It's not too late!
These are not the Star Wars films -- although, they are similar. The Star Wars films were released "for the last time" in the familiar black box on VHS.
Do not buy these! Use the internet to find the laser disc release. They provide a very DVD experience -- and can be found in a friendly downloadable DVD format that plays in your real life player.
Fuck Lucas. Boycott.

Are you absolutely certian that you'd recognize it if it was here?
Perpetual state of war, government controlling the flow of the "free press," re-writing the language (e.g. patriot act), government can review your reading habits without a warrant, there are cameras at every major intersection, cameras located on every isle of meijer, government can listen to your phone conversations with little oversight,,, Did you know you need a permit to protest in public?
At what point do you step back and say... OK, now is it orwellian?
Neglect to use a liquid layout that lets users adjust the home page size.
I'm not sure I've ever heard it called liquid, but I'd like to agree with this particular pet peeve.
There's absolutely no excuse (ever) for forcing the user to view your web page at $arbitrary_page_width. Designers that think they need to force the width to a certian number -- for roundness, right hand menus, or whatever dumbass excuse -- are WRONG. Dead wrong. There is never a good reason to use a fixed width.
It shows complete ignorance of the subject they claim to master by calling themselves site designers.
Apparently we form all sorts of new brainmatter all the time. So now I kinda wonder...
The more Go problems I do (any brainteasers apply); the better I get at problem solving in general. This is definitely something that's been improving sharply since I started playing Go.
I was theorizing that the game is just getting me in the habit of thinking ahead, but now I wonder if it isn't helping me grow a better braincache. Fascinating.
Will you make a web page of that... so that I can actually go there and click the radio buttons and get my plaintext filled out form to post as a comment?
I got a copy of the theatrical release ripped from laser disk.
Has menus, greedo doesn't shoot first, snai snoodle signs her original song, and the ewok party doesn't span the galaxy.
I like the special editions.
That makes sense. They're very well done.
However, Lucass should really include both versions on the DVD -- and he should have done so about 8 years ago. Think about any director's cuts you have -- the original will be on there too. The special editions would be far superior if he hadn't have messed with the plot.
In the special edition, they make guido shoot first. He doesn't do that in the originals. I hate that enough to not like the special editions. Also, I really like the original snai snoodle song (jabba's bar) and was pissed that they changed that. Also, I'm apparently the one in a billion that liked the original ewok Yub Yub song at the end of jedi. Most people seem to hate it, but...
Those moves aren't very good and I have memorized them. The only reason to watch them is to remember the first time, or to appreciate movie history... or something. The special edition isn't that.:) I understand why he subbed out the two songs. The new scenes were longer than the old songs -- but I'd rather watch the old scenes than suffer the new songs.
I'll never understand why greedo shoots first.
DISCLAIMER: I realize this is pretty unimportant shat... But it is important to me.
I resent it when I get pulled into a meeting. People know this. So if they pull me into one it's usually for a good reason.
Now, here's my rule. If a meeting lasts more than 10 minutes it's wrong. If the meeting get's to the 5 minute mark and we have not yet accomplished anything, I take over the meeting, determine what needs doing and split it up. I then declare the meeting over.
You should never ever do something at a meeting. You talk about what needs doing, briefly and then go back to work.
My company is not very corporate... I'm told it's worse at big companies. I can't imagine how people can stand it.
More than that. gnugo supposedly plays around 10kyu, but I (18kyu) can beat it by exploiting it's weakneses. Because it always plays the same.
Tartrate beats all sorts of opponents and never loses. I don't think we have computers that good yet. "They say it will be 100 years..." -- Hikaru No Go.
On usability, I think it's all about what you learn first. I started on gimp and cannot figure out photoshop at all. I had boldly declared once, that I couldn't figure out photoshop and thought the interface sucked.
I learned that I was a victim of learning curve bias. I never did bother to learn photoshop, because I've been able to do everything I need to do in the gimp and don't really want to climb that learning curve without a reason.
I don't think that's quite right. You don't have to accept the license to change the code or make copies. You have to accept the license to DISTRIBUTE the package -- with or without changes.
You know... I wasn't really creeped out by the patriot act until I saw this ultra creepy movie.
What they should do is simply leave the site up and refuse to give out any personal details until they receive a court order compelling them to take an action.

Hmmm, it can be quite a hunt. Check on ebay, youceff, torrentbits, and suprnova [sic]. You'll find it eventually.
People have ripped the laserdisc and will put it on DVD for you... usually for the cost of media and shipping.

my mistake.
I applied the all_patches from 1.2.5 and the resulting libpng 1.2.5 is still vulnerable!
The remote execution bug was posted to bugtraq yesterday and I don't think there's a patch for 1.2.5!
This broken image is from the bugtraq post. If it crashes your browser, you're not fixed.

Fuck Lucas, seriously. Do not give that dude any more money.

That is the funniest metaphor of my week I bet. And it's only monday. Good job. It's funny because it's true.
I'm pretty sure you mean 4th wall. The other three being curtains with the left being right and the right being left.
This guy is the reason the IT industry is full of non-compete contracts... what a 100% total asshole.
I'm being totally serious.
Ok, my bad. 7 years ago.

Actually, I belive the dump part is happening or has already happened.
I figure they have to keep pumping no matter how insane so they can claim it wasn't just a pump and dump when the SEC finally comes after them.
They must continue... or go to jail.
E-Ballot E-Stuffing. Perhaps there will be an E-vestigation of the E-pplication to look for signs of E-Tampering.
