Does the school offer courses in emerging technologies? No What do they mean by emerging technologies? A computer science OS course teaches you deadlocks, processes and threads, not the latest C# fu.
ANY computer science department has a course to teach you "deadlocks, processes and threads". thus, that is a moot criteria for comparison. "the latest C# fu" is a GREAT example. maybe you think C# sucks, maybe not, but either way the fact that its offered shows that the teachers are less than 10 years behind the times. i just moved from a school teaching C/PASCAL to a school teaching C++/VB.Net, and ill give you 2 guesses which one provides more technological advantages.
Dont agree to them. Simplest way to deal with EULAs. They offer you a contract, you decline it. Optionally you can offer a more reasonable contract to them, perhaps as detailed in the SVLA. The GPL is pretty much the only EULA I agree to these days.
oh, and one even worse quirk to my story... AFTER they negative-ized my balance, someone sent me a payment, which PayPal refuses to release to anyone until I pay them. So they have stolen money from someone else trying to legitimately buy something from me.
i pity you when you get scammed for that same $1700. it will happen. i have stopped using paypal after losing a few hundred bucks. im not so evil as to start scamming people, but it would be oh so easy.
the absolute most important benefit of BASIC, to both beginners and advanced programmers, in almost every form since QBASIC, is that you are able to break out of the interpreter into the source, change things (fix a bug, modify a loop, whatever), and then re-enter the running (interpreted) program *WITH NO DATA LOSS*. i am not a guru by any means, but im fluent enough to do a lot better than 'hello world' in about a dozen languages, and i have never encountered a non-BASIC language with this feature.
im sorry officer, i dont understand why your card reader cant read my id. it couldnt have anything to do with my work with at a particle accelerator could it?
you do realize that income distribution isnt linear, right? if it was half full of people who could afford $N tickets, it would have had *MORE* than twice as many customers at a cost of $N/2
How is unemployment calculated? I am unemployed, as are most of my close friends. Are we included in the statistics? If so, seeing as I dont regularly tell anyone I am unemployed, how?
the concorde cost too much for what it did. it had all the other luxuries, including speed. if the concorde had been packed with twice as many seats, all business class, *AND* had been allowed to land in major metro areas, it would have been immensely more popular.
"The idea isn't to necessarily make the trip much faster - though that will happen over time with conventional air travel - but to improve the experience enough that passages won't mind a 20 hour flight so much."
Im sorry, is that your ship leaving? *as the Titanic departs* *or the Hindenburg*
Luxury is great, but no luxury holds a candle to the luxury that is SPEED. Get me from point A to point B twice as fast as the other guy and I will give you 4x as much cash. LAX to London, Paris, Singapore, Cairo, Sydney, whatever... in 3 hours. There *IS* a market for it, even at $200000 a pop. Just for specialists and the very rich.
if you shift into neutral with cruise engaged, the engine red-lines because the cruise continues to add throttle trying to make up for the decreasing velocity.
also of note... in a 92(?) dodge caravan, the key can be removed from the ignition in any position, including ON, which then locks the ignition. a friend once yanked the key out while i was driving, so i couldnt turn the car off.
Says you. A number of judges disagree, and their opinions are what counts. Consumer software is not licensed, it is sold. If MS doesnt want to sell me a copy of windows, thats their option, but as long as they are taking my money and handing me a cd, i own that copy.
i dont back up, per se, all my media. but very often i will produce a 'compilation' disc of a multi-disc set that allows me to play without swapping discs. i put all 6 baldurs gate 2 cds on one dvd, but playing from it requires a "no cd" crack. and any media that has become badly damaged over time (i have games on cdrom that are over 8 years old that i still play) gets a definite backup, however its usually the backup that goes on the shelf in that case
Locking your door wont keep criminals out, but it will make you less of a target. I hate to say it, but the dumbass next to you who DIDNT lock his door is going to be just that much easier to steal from. Same concept as car theft. Sure, a thief can break into your car, but if you have a lock/alarm youre making it just that much harder to steal YOUR car as opposed to someone elses who doesnt have their doors locked.
I see no weaselly wording here. The fact that his source code comes in the form of a base release plus a number of patches (in a near universally supported patch format) makes no difference to me. Applying the patches is simply another step in pre-processing the code, albeit a manual one.
its not surface waves that are at issue here, its the pressure wave of slightly compressed water riding a few mm in front of your hand/finger (picture a shock wave)

6'7" is 109.722% of 6'. Which puts either answer within the 10% margin of error :-p

said clickage qualifies as a signature under the Electronic Signatures laws in many countries, including the USA and the UK.
however, some of us amended the agreement before signing it.

you do realize that by dithering in anything other than an ordered fashion ruins your compression ratio right?
