That's $4.50 and less if you're buying games that are less obvioulsy, which is an easily justifyable travel expense in exchange for convenience or (gasp!) company loyalty based on customer service, return/exchange policies, etc.
I don't know about going that far... if anything I'd say the exact opposite. Star Trek has always been about mixing of cultures and races and species (!) intermingling and finding a peaceful co-existence.
I'm waiting for this to be modded down and trampled under the other posts, but you have to admit, if they put "Uhh yessa massa!" It'd be a different story.
I had a fun time with this game, and its graphics are very reminicent of games like Rez, or even back to Tempest 2000. Plus, if you win, it gives you funny ratings such as Dot Eater (pukman I guess?), GAMMBARE ("do your best!"), and A++- (yeah, that's A plus plus minus heh).
I want an updates list kinda like the one I had before here: http://www.christopherwu.net/news.php, and I used a now defunct program called newsPHP or nPHP for short. It was easy, allowed me to add a couple entries, and stored all the data in a text datafile which was separated using metatags which a PHP script chopped up and displayed. It was quick, easy, and required no mysql, or any sort of programming experience. Anybody got a suggestion for a barebones update/news itemizer? Please Thanks!
How far are we from that actually that it's no longer an instrument that we're using, but actions we perform withour own bodies which is interpreted by the machine?
I don't have a problem with Opera's current implementation. Their quick and easy one button (F4) sidebar let's me quickly search by string for title, and arranges it by reverse chronological order. This allows me to quickly type in something like "google" in the filter, and show me every google search I've done in the past let's say 2 months. From this I can usually pick up any trail that I've lost and find a page that I've visited before with ease.
I never decided to "switch" because of two things. I don't have as good of a *nix background as I would like, and it seems pretty daunting to run my own box. The second is that I'm an avid gamer. I probably use my computer for no less than 30% gaming, 30% internet, 20% watching tv-shows/movies, and 20% doing actual work (heh!).
Such turnkey installations are available, and I guess I can take the plunge with Knoppix boot tests, but with WineX, everything's looking a bit more lucrative.
My only reservation is performance. If WineX is an emulator of sorts, what's the performance hit that's associated with newer games such as Warcraft 3 vs. the older engine'ed games like Half-life (CS, DoD, etc.). Anybody wanna help convert me?
I've read so many articles, and even recipes on how to make aerogels, but have yet to hold, touch, or even see one. Is there any museum (brooklyn science, liberty science, etc.) that would have a sample, or any body know of any other ideas?
You had a point until you ended with your post with a racial epithet.

And who's buying 30 games at a time anwyays?

I emailed the editors to change the headline WITH EDIT. I don't ever believe in the deletion of comments and/or opinions, just clarifications.
I mailed cmdrtaco and simonkier to change the article description WITH EDIT, and we'll see if it actually happens.
THANK YOU for realizing what I was saying and shooting down the "Troll" mod. If you read at -1, there are others who were modded down as well.
Unfortunate that this was voted down...

What kind of racist crap is this? It shouldn't be in a /. article, for one thing. Bad taste. VERY BAD TASTE.
They've already got it:r a_par a__paradise_series.html

That was marriageable material... I weep for your loss. > )
http://www.yousendit.com/ has 1gb attachments already, and a lot of my fellow Google Researchers use it for sending files between each other.

Can anybody post links to some dumbformats? (i.e. avi, mpg, mov, etc.)
What kind of retarded street justice is that? Do you see every CS player ganging up on the guy who shoots for the head? This is just plain dumb.

I'm confused...
I don't see ANY possible use for this other than to earn geek points to spent at the next LARPG meeting...

Can I go around with a small pin, ruining a whole lot of them by letting in the air then? This just sounds like too much fun.

It's not additional... read this:
"If the pilot did not turn, the computer would take over the controls and steer the plane itself. No human in the plane could override the system."
