From my understanding, Citi is almost exclusively virtual desktop oriented, whether you work in the office or remotely. In fact, you have to get executive approval to get a laptop issued to you. Personally, I am not a fan of virtual desktops, especially if your work requires unique tools (cygwin, wireshark, customized troubleshooting apps, etc.) like mine does. In addition, if you work remotely that means that YOU provide the machine the desktop will run on, which pushes the cost down to the user. I don't agree with that either.
It is a win for companies however, if they're interested in getting rid of real estate while keeping headcount.
The first half of the movie was an homage to the original Tron, but the second half, with its silly plot, was simply a waste of time. For one thing, I'm extremely curious how the new Sark's carrier was supposed to fit through the transcoding machine. I also remember wondering, how long are these people going to sit and talk? Movies are supposed to be about showing people what happened, not telling them. The creators of Tron:Legacy forgot that.

I second that emotion. If I could use one word to sum this movie up, it would be [b]boring[/b]. There were 20 minutes of action in a 2 hour movie and a plot that made little if any sense. CG was good, but how long can you show people in neon suits and preserve the WOW factor?
And maybe my memory is failing, but was Kevin Flynn already channeling the Dude in the original Tron? I don't remember all that distracting Zen nonsense in the original.
How would you like it if your job, country and culture was stereotyped into the guilt-ridden nonsense that The Simpsons aired? There's really something wrong when people feel proud about how much guilt they have or how much they can hate their own society/culture. This same idiocy even made it into TFS:

Where exactly is the requirement that everyone in the world makes the same as their "American counterparts"? Is it because everywhere in the world is the same as America, with the same taxes, costs and currency value? Utter rubbish.
Cutting-edge? How about just getting someone that lives up to their resume? My employer is hiring, both full-time and contractor. My previous employer was hiring as well. In neither case could we get qualified candidates. I don't know if it's just applicants misrepresenting themselves or headhunters just throwing something against a wall and hoping it sticks, but when you get guys who claim to be CCNAs but don't know what traceroute does, there's a problem.
I know the above doesn't apply to everyone, but really, if you're applying for a job at least crack a book the night before the interview so you're not wasting everyone's time.

The US is not built to support high-speed rail, nor is there a need. Consider the Florida High Speed Rail program, part of which will run between Tampa and Orlando, a grand distance of 85 miles, or about 90 minutes driving. According to Wikipedia however, "bullet train would beat a car by only 30 minutes." Odds are even that advantage will be lost when the Lakeland stop is opened. Additionally, that doesn't even take into account that you're going to have to drive to the station, then when you get to your destination, you're going to have to drive wherever you need to get to!
High-speed rail can work in certain environments, but it's self-defeating the way it's being implemented here in the US, because it's just being used to buy votes, as the summary itself all but admitted.
This isn't something to ride, even though it is apparently street legal. This is to park next to your limited edition Batman car, guarded over by your life-size Alien replica, as the focal points of the tasting room of your climate controlled wine cellar... Also, there are strippers nearby.
You know what, now that you mention it, forget the cycle, car, replica and wine. I think I'll just go with the strippers.
Please refrain from impugning the character of drunk sailors. As a former sailor I can assure you that when I went out to drink I only took X amount of dollars with me. When the dollars were gone I couldn't drink anymore, yet I still managed to get pleasantly drunk.
I disagree. That's like asking what legitimate use is there in having more than one e-mail address. My cellular provider simply doesn't provide the features that Google Voice does, it requires a different number than the one that is mapped by my provider to my phone.
Another long time Gator fan here. I believe what's driving this decision is that the SEC held on to their digital rights from the big multi-billion dollar deals with ESPN and CBS. Not only are they currently trying to ban twitter, facebook, et al., they are also "prohibiting" digital broadcasts of the games, since they are starting the SEC Digital Network.
Although I dislike this decision, it's pretty much par for course with Major League Baseball and the NBA, correct?
A small nitpick here, but these cars aren't targeted at the very wealthy. Rather, they're targeted at hyper-consumers. In the majority of cases the two are not synonymous. The same could be applied to your comment about rich people. Nobody gets rich writing checks.
