its not the politicians being naive, its the politicians doing something for the sake of doing something, to make the look like they are doing something, its all lip service. its common problem, instead of going after the criminals they punish easier tagets.
Because you have people who dont know what they are doing using their computer like they would use a toaster oven or VCR! (and they STILL cant get the clocks set right!) People who use Linux are tech savvy enough to realize you cant just plug a machine into a wall socket and expect it to be secure. Windows owners who are wise to this fact have secure machines.

What about the assertion that we havent seen teperatures like this SINCE... um Since? that means it happened before? what caused the Ice age, and the medieval warm period? are we warming up? probbably, though the people in Malibu may disagree at the moment. Is it man made? doubtful. Scientists are OFTEN wrong, and silenceing those that they do not agree with is not the answer, a scientists job is to PROVE them wrong.
it doesnt matter, most people dont have a Big Screen TV, and the 480p of a standard DVD on a HDTV is so much of an improvement over 480i on a SDTV that the difference wont matter to Joe 6-pack
yes, it does all begin at home, but there are bad elements out there that try and pry your darling away from your upbringing. That being said some things do not belong in school... MySpace is one of them
I agree the parents need to get off their lazy asses, but according to the article "The legislation would have banned the use of commercial social networking websites in US schools and libraries"... that says nothing about the kids homelife, 25 years ago my parents didnt go with me to the library... the librarys also didnt have computers
