while watching TV, there is about a 3:1
entertainment time to advertising time... and even the commercials are entertaining sometimes...
but for a web page you spend more time closing/avoiding ads than you do on actual content... I am at a HIGH volume destination (18 web servers, each producing around 1 gig worth of log files a day) average time spent here is 6-7 minutes...
I have yet to see many banner ads/pop up ads that were remotly interesting or entertaining..
"You know, the funny thing about that, is that most of the crap in the used CD pile is stuff that nobody wants to listen to. So Ol' Garth should maybe take the hint."
ANOTHER aquisition it wont know what to do with in 6 months, I worked there over a year and saw them swallow up 3 companies, and tried to merge with Sprint. they have no substance, and Bernie is taking them to the cleaners
wow, such insight, can you tell me WHERE I can purchase the 1986 show in seattle from Stevie Ray Vaughan? as far as I know, it was NEVER released on vinyl, tape OR cd, so the ONLY way to get it is via mp3... maybe you can help with some of the other bootlegs Im looking for...
nah I doubt it...

good gawd, give me the kenwood at half the price that will play both CDs and MP3s burned on CDs, who cares if I have to carry around 10 cds to get 6 gigs worth of songs, at least they will be better organized...
Napster and mp3 set the standard for these things. People often won't pay where a free alternative exists, but they will pay if an alternative is (perceived) better.
BS, pure unadulterated BS, I would pay, I want the CD in my player, I want the booklet giving me information about the band, I want to see the cover art sitting on the coffee table at my house, you cant do that with an MP3...
another thing...I WANT to give the artist my money if they do a good job, BUT I want to know what the hell Im buying before I plop down a DIME!
thanks to MP3s I can do that...
oh well screw em all, Im off to download some UNPUBLISHED bootleg concerts and then Im going to the pawn shop to buy a $5.00 CD... and the RIAA isnt going to see a dime...
I did that several years ago, upped it to a pentium 75 for my original BBS, I still think they are one of the best cases going, uses a standard AT motheboard...
back up a second here... they save 40%, but what if (and this is a BIG possibility concidering we are talking about Brazil here) they didnt HAVE the extra 40% to spend without cutting off other programs?
if these people are "smart" enough to install PWS or IIS on their machines at home (which isnt all "that" easy, how they can let it happen... Personally I ditched PWS because of this very reason, I didnt trust it...
I am running Tiny Web Server Right now and am having NO problems (and it is a grand total of 180k in size)
I just spent over 80.00 on a vinyl record that has been out of print for 30 years (and the artist says he has no intention of re-releasing it)...
now Im burning mp3s of it...
You have a paining, its one of a kind, the artist is nowhere to be found, there are no digital copies of it and you let me come in and take a digital picture of it...
People don't want to pay for anything plain and simple.
maybe you can help me out here... where can I get a copy of Bob Seger's "Back in 72"? I know I have seen it on file sharing networks, but it hasnt been available since 1973... I would buy it if it was available...
Im also looking for VanZant, Tracker, Ironhorse, Point Blank, Vandenburg's Alibi, Various Radio Programs, bootlegs of U2 and others that arent available to "buy".
You're paying for someone to spend their time to educate your children, the materials the books are printed on, the desks, the chairs, the building maintenance, and so on.
Umm, no some of us are paying for someone to teach someone elses children... some of us dont have children
on a used 28" tv, I watch about 5 hours of tv a week durring the winter, 0 hours durring the summer... so why is it that i need a HDTV?
Just what I want to see, "Moesha" in High Deffinition... how about improving the content before improving the transmission?
except this isnt javascript, its either a.com file or a.pif file... which operate just like an.exe so if you automatically open the attachment & are using windows then you are screwed

127.0.0.1 ads.aol.com

who is this Napster of which you speak? If you are referring to the old file sharing program it has long since been replaced by better models
