I think it is geo-specific. Fuck the customer in every way possible, and make sure they don't find out. That is the US corporate mantra nowadays.

If you need examples, go car or house shopping.

And the best part is the employees are finally seeing that it is not just the customer getting fucked, but everyone below the CEO in the company as well. Unfortunately, most are adapting the "that is just the way it is, so I have to cover my own ass" attitude, which of course takes away from their ability to do a good job.

I am not saying that humans aren't responsible; rather that there is more than one possible explanation.

What if global warming was 100% directly correlated to the presence of more humans? Would we kill a bunch off "for the good of the planet?" Or would the 'you must live as long as possible' mentality take over? After all, humans walk around flatulating all the time (gas emissions are bad for the environment right?), as well as being mobile heat sources....

    A few things:

    1. RTFA

As whales move through the water, the tubercles disrupt the line of pressure against the leading edge of the flippers. The row of tubercles sheers the flow of water and redirects it into the scalloped valley between each tubercle, causing swirling vortices that roll up and over the flipper to actually enhance lift properties.

"The swirling vortices inject momentum into the flow," said Howle. "This injection of momentum keeps the flow attached to the upper surface of the wing and delays stall to higher wind angles."

"This discovery has potential applications not only to airplane wings but also on the tips of helicopter rotors, airplane propellers and ship rudders," said Howle.
