Good point. Can I sue someone is the grip isn't "good enough" on a ping pong paddle? What about a golf club? Seems like the same argument to me... the strap is meant to protect against against accidental drops the same as the grip tape on itmes like ping pong paddles are mean to protect against the same thing. In neither case is it normal usage to let go during use.

And it won't leave your hand if used as directed. I've got a Wii and and my strap still has the band around it. I don't even use the damn thing. And guess what? Not once has it left my hand unless I was setting it down or handing it to another person. The strap should be viewed merely as a convenience to help guard against accidental drops... the same as any strap on any portable electronic device. Nintendo should not be held liable for some dumbass throwing the Wiimote across the room.

Those are issues that would annoy many people, hardcore or otherwise.

Hell, no. Games don't have to be 3D. The Castlevania games on the DS are pure gaming nirvana and Symphony of the Night (PSX) is considered one of the best games of the PSX era. I would LOVE to see similar games in full HD glory on a modern system and would gladly hand over my cash for them. Sadly, it seems like the DS has become that last bastion of 2D gaming and that SUCKS (not that the DS sucks, I love that system... just that it's a shame that 2D games are shunned on the modern systems).

It's not really fair to compare MS to what Nintendo are currently doing. If you have seen the selection on the Wii's virtual console (VC) then you know that the majority of the games are tiny NES, TG16, SNES, and Genesis games. The larger N64 games are still few in number. Also, Nintendo are adding NOTHING to these games yet. Right now they are exactly how they were on their original consoles. The XBLA classic titles, on the other hand, support HD, have achievements, leaderboards, online multipler, and some have enhanced graphics. Then you have the new games like Small Arms which are original titles... and Nintendo's VC has none of those yet.

I too would like to see more content, but you can't fairly compare what MS are doing to what Nintendo are doing.

I guess the point here is the blind hunters really wouldn't know what they are shooting. Sure, you would hope that their spotter is telling them truth and is paying full attention, but considering that sighted hunters shoot one another every year in hunting accidents, relying on two people (one of them blind) just seems like an accident waiting to happen.

Also, what's the point anyway? It's basically the spotter that's doing the hunting. If a blind person wants to enjoy being with family I don't see why they can't go out with the hunters and simply not shoot any of the guns.

It's the same here in the US. Even a couple weeks after launch you still can't find any Wii's on store shelves. All the controllers are also hard to find, though I did happen to walk into EB Games yesterday (to buy Portrait of Ruin for DS) just as they were unpacking new shipments of all of them. I have a Wii, but didn't buy any of the controllers. So far I just have Zelda and Wii sports. Zelda only needs one controller and the only game my wife and I reguarly play on Wii sports is Bowling... and it can be played witha single Wiimote. So I decided to leave them for other people who may actually be in of them. I'll pick some more up when a great multiplayer game I want hits shelves.

It's only restructuring if the actual 'structure' changed. Say, for example, R&D and QA were two different departments, but then it was decided that R&D should be a sub-division of QA and thus the top QA execs are now in charge of R&D. Also, creating entirely new positions or departments could also be considering restructuring.

I don't know if any of that happened here, but from what I've read it just sounds like swapped some people aroundin existing positions... thus that would be 'reshuffling'. Actually, I think 'reshuffling' works fine in either case.

Well.. let's think about this. They have had the problem since JUNE. That's a damn long time to be losing up to 90% of a customer's emails. On top of that, instead of notifying all their customers of the issue, they only tell them if they call to ask. So how is a customer supposed to know that some of their e-mail is missing? It's hard to know about something you never had. The only way you would likely figure it out is if e-mail you expected to receive were repeatedly not making it through. Even then, the first couple of times you would likely figure that the person/company that was supposed to be sending the e-mail simply never did.

The example to which you responded is a perfectly valid concern and is an example of the type of e-mail a customer would never know is missing. They really deserve some sort of litigation. A simple notice sent out to all your customers back in June would have allowed their customers to switch any important accounts tied to that address before much was lost. But now, SIX MONTHS LATER, a lot of people have likely missed out on a lot of important messages.

Yes, but if you don't like a certain player you can select the option to avoid that player and you won't have to worry about them in ANY game. Also, if they do get banned then you also don't have to worry about them ever again unless they pony up $50 for another account. What makes Live great is everything is global. Your friend's list is global and applies to all games. Your friends list shows you when they were last online and what they are currently doing if they are online (e.g. what game they are playing, if they are watching a movie, etc...). Online games have ladders and ranking that allow the system to match you with players of similar skill. It's also divided into Zones so you can choose to play with people with similar attitudes toward online gaming. For example, you can put your account in the Family zone and you should be matched up with other people in the same zone. So ideally it should be safe for your kids since people in that zone aren't supposed to be cussing, trash talking, etc... And if you do run into a bad apple you can just report them and select the option to avoid that player. But if you are someone that enjoys lots of trask talking then you put yourself in the Underground zone and you will be matched with people with similar attitudes. Live has numerous other great features too. It's a lot more than just paying $50 to play just online.
