I ran into a similar predicament and decided to roll my own. So far I have Stories, Comments, Events, Accounts and and a calendar. I think I have maybe 12 pages of php. Sites based on Nuke just have too much legacy code clutter.
I encountered this particular deal. Bad enough to get a scripted response, but unintelligible English is just too much. Last weekend the same thing happened to my Dad trying to call DirectTV. The phone tech spoke unintillible English with a Mexican accent. For almost an hour I heard my dad trying to talk with the guy, "Could you repeat that slower, I can't understand you".
Can anyone comment on PostgreSQL OLAP? Does anyone use it for day-to-day business operations? How well does it integrate with mainstream OPAL analysis and repoting applications? Hyperion? Congnos? Business Objects?
I wish Sony would quit with the proprietary media. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person who looks at this and thinks, "neato, but if I can't use the disc elewhere slese it is just eyecandy"

I'm doubly suprised we havn't heard more from prior SCO employees. At one point I was kind of impressed by the Open SCO program and their release of old Unix code. As far as that "pompous air of knowledge" I'd take the Popeye approach. I am what I am. As far as fulfillment goes I've always been pretty self actualized. I always seem to have a bunch of ongoing projects though.
#1: Responsible, logic-minded people already control most of the planet. #2: Laws that disobey the Constitution don't last very long and for the most part I trust the guys and girls in law enforcement to protect us from the baddies (even if they bend the rules a teensy bit.). #3: UN reports are 99% bullshit just like the UN itself. #4: Rumsfeld like many members of Bush's staff actually had better, higher paying jobs outside of politics. #5: Unions are making themselve's extinct by being so corrupt at the top and not standing up for workers. #6: IT is more free(er -Bushism) today since the citizens of at least two new countries can participate(Afghanistan and Iraq). #7: Clinton signed a bunch of bullshit in his last year he was too much of a pussy to sign when he would have had to live with the immediate consequences. #8: Depleted uraniumim is FUCKING DEPLETED URANIUM and the actual chance of harmful effects (impact aside) is small. #9: Afghanistan is the same dusty shithole it was 100 years ago. Afghanistan never was nor ever will be a paradise but is a least a little better off today. #10: Africa is a shithole no-one with a brain would want to colonize. #11: Talibs are nutcases and madrassas should all be bombed into extinction. #12: Corporations need a death penalty for bad behaviour just like other bad citizens. Corporate death penalty should be viral unto the corporate officers. #13: The US Military is mostly doing UN and NATO work. #14: Refugees -listen to old Sam Kennison improv tapes. #15: Venezuela: coup failed because US left it alone. The people of Venezuela need to try a little harder to get the crooked bastard out of office. #16: Panama should be annexed. #17: Clear Channel will not exist in 50 years. #18: Charter Forest Proposal - beating back tons of unreasonable legislation a little. #19: U.S. Dollar vs. the Euro -Uhhh, whatever. Think EU civil war within 150 years. #20: For-Profit Military -I wish.............
Does your favorite actresses' boobs look a little large in that magazine or tv advert? Her waist a little thinner? It is already a mainstream business practice to make products and people more appealing to audiences. I've even heard they did it in the Charlie's Angel's movie to make Drew Barrymore look thinner.
The US legal system sucks. Basically we have no rights to propect our good names. McBride can repeadly publish lies and there is little to be done to stop him. Worse yet, the publications he uses to spout these lies are bought and paid-for by advertising dollars OS developers and vendors can't hope to match.
Seriously I can see where people go nuts because of frustration and do crazy things in retaliation. Gheesh, could someone at least post a HS picture of McBride with a pimply face?
I picked up an MPIO FL-100 for around $110 with FM and 128MB ram. An extra 256MB SD was $50 (Dell). Plus is has Linux support. Not to mention that they actually keep improving their firmware. BTW, the FM receiver rocks for such a tiny device.

Last year I was at Disney and they had this talking trach can that I assume was radio controlled. It looked like all the other trash cans except it would more around and talk. It really shocked the hell out of people. This dinosaur should be a riot!
