I've seen it, in a word: Awesome. More polished and better effects than the first series. The space guild character CGI is pretty sweet. If I had to pick a real standout performance it would have to be James McAvoy who plays Leto II.
I've never read the series though I hav read tons of sci-fi books. I saw the origional movie before I joined the Navy out of HS and started reading Sci-Fi. This is still the first half of the Frank Herbert Dune timeline. Its looking like one or two more mini-series' are in order (God Emperor of Dune,Heretics of Dune,
Chapterhouse: Dune). Let's hope this series makes a bundle so they keep making them.
My brother built the same thing back in the early 80's. The problem he ran into was the brakes. He wound up going too fast and falling head first into a car. Broke his collarbone. I see this bike has a enlarged fron brake, probably for good reason.
But seriously folks, I'm all for alternet engery sources. Just not at the expense of reason. Nuclear is still the best existing form of renewable energy. All we need to do is develop an entire lifecycle managment system.
Papermate now sells a ballpoint pencil. The price is a little steep but it really is a wonderful invention. I'm left handed and because of the way I push an ordinary or mechanical pencil I end up with a lot of graphite on my hand and I break a lot of lead. Not so with this new ballpoint pencil. The only drawback is the sucky eraser it comes with. I suggest replacing it with better ones.
Consider that the US is primarily a service economy. Unless they buy up all the McDonalds' and close them down, the lion's share of economic benefit still goes to the US. The same goes with retail sales.
Either way you slice it, the US is head and sholders above the rest of the world when it comes to trained consumers and an open marketplace.
It must be true. After all they spent all the time reviwing studies on academic performance before and after the laptops. Not to mention all the surveys of parent's opinions.
Someday, humans will return to the moon and go to Mars. The question is should it be in our lifetime, or the lifetime of our children, or our grandchildren. Now this clearly is not the best time to be making such choices, with continuing threats from terrorists, a possible war with Iraq on the horizon and problems looming with North Korea.
Will we ever move beyond fighting amongst ourselves? How, in a world with mass communication and cheap technology does a person like Saddam Hussain have supporters? How can an entire nation like North Korea be held hostage by a regime that doesn't give a shit for it's own people?
Just cut out the middleman. The government wants someone else to do the law enforcement? Deputize the Netwoirk Admins...Uzi and pocket protector snandard equipment.
We have the same thing here in Virginia. About every six month some bonehead reporter sneaks through the woods and enters one of the local military bases. Morons.
Fact #1: 80% of all militay base property is landscaping and wildlife areas. The other 10% is protected to the level of needed security.
Fact #2: Without having insider knowledge of where on a military installation sensitive material is located you don't have a chance of hell of finding it wandering around - Much less penetrating any real security unimpeded.
Fact #3: Security doen't mean 100% access control. It merely means protecting assets to the degree needed to make it tough for the bad guys.
You check it out, the email is a generic email and the letters to the editor don't appear to show up anywhere. I just checked out four stories and don't see any link to the "TableTalk" forum. Not to mention than a link to a generic forum still isn't the same as a discussion dedicated to each story.
I've said it before and I'll say it again : Reading Salon liberal journalism is like getting punched in the face with your hands tied behind your back.
I like reading opinions I disagree with but I hate it when there is no real method to rebut. Disagree with a story? Tough luck, no way to contact the author and no forum tied directly to the story.
I could go further and say the liberals running Salon run a budget about as well as the liberals in politics handle budgets. No wonder they are pleading for handouts. Small wonder they aren't blaming the successful websites for their demise and demanding a forced redistribution of the popularity.
I think the SegWay suffers from extreme overbuild. They really should have initially targeted the $2000 market then offered an upscale/ more durable model to industrial buyers. They also should have been prepared to handle 3-5 years of losses during product introduction.
Take a look at newcomers to the US auto market like KIA and DaeWoo as a model. For $1,000 I can buy a really nice Mountainbike-road hybrid and mount a small 2hp motor on it that has most of the advantages of the Segway.
Simple solution: Announce that a hidden virus has been found in TurboTax that writes to an unprotected of your harddrive producung unknown but potentially dangerous effects. The general publick goes bleary-eyed at "boot sector" but the word virus gets their attention.
I'd sure hate to be the defendant in a case where the prosecutor or legislature could trump up or morph the charges whenever they want. The solution otthe US's problem is forcing a faster process (as is now being done in some federal criminal courts), not making it unreasonable to defend yourself.
My most recent video card purchase, an ATI OEM 8500LE just died a little over a year after I bought it. Add too that the fact that the Mobility M4 in my $3K laptop still doesn't do all the tricks ATI promised. Not very impressive considering my TNT2 has been chugging away for years.
The editors are stuck with the same crappy search tool we users are stuck with. Sure they check for prior postings, but the search tool is broken (almost as bad as SF.net) and never returs decent results.
Users want software that will wipe their butts for them. Trying to develop for the LCD is almost pointless. No matter how easy you make it there is always some idiot who can manage to screw it up.
We live in a society that results from three generations of teaching that the entire class must move at the pace of the slowest person. I say to hell with the idiots. You need to know how to use the software to get your job done? Tough, learn how to use or make way for someone motivated to figure it out. McDonalds is always hiring.

3. Al Jazeera TV, owned by the QATARI GOVERNMENT (A HUGE ALLY OR THE US), turned over a copy of the tape before releasing it to the public.

The theorem is explained here with pictures.

AOL announced in will be proactivly blocking all filesharing programs since they are a menace to society -For purely altruistic reasons.

Try writing anything with three kids bouncing on your head and see how good your grammar is.

Phil died in 1998 and the show hasn't recoverted until very recently. Gronig pushing Futurama in '99 probably added to the slump.
Just a little FYI.
IF nothing else it may force more peope to think about where their food comes from and how it is processed.
