So getting to know your hardware specs before you install windows can also be a problem. Quite often the guy selling it does not have a clue he just says it only works with Windows then go gets his minimum wage pay check. And displays flashes his A+ ticket at you.

I should look into creating an ASCII triger based on this idea. The separator would need to be a simple new morse character for a space. The traditional morse rythym interpretation could not work as a file format.
There is no reason why a binary cannot work on every linux distro. Just make sure that if it is got an Xgui you use only the simple common libs. If you use a non standard libs just include them in your./configure, and use simple lib placement destination structure like/usr/local. When you distribute the binary just make sure you note any diffs for the different destinations of any libs that are you deps. And most important if a lib is not available to all distros then just #include the thing. This is linux not all the good libs are proprietary. Sure computers are good at generating a random response to a given situation but when you include all the possible variables involved in great music, no data base could hold all the possibilities. I practice the pieces by using computer technology to test my harmonies, and any air pressure time calculations I need to make to modify note timing at different alttitudes. This is because sound travels at different speeds at different kp air pressure. "There is no such thing as an ugly sound only sounds that are used without context" Rimsky on Orchestration.

There is no way that these guys will get the idea that the performance of music is still something that requires an interpretation. Something which you cannot quantify, and changes with each different performance of a great player. It depends on the players response to the current air pressure, sonic characteristics of a venue, temp of instrument, audience, the amount of rosin on bow at the time, the touch character of a certian piano. All the wonderfull things that the player has a skill to respond to. It especially depends on the ability of the performer to lead the audience and the wonderfull give and take that has been lost to recordings.
