    if they wouldnt try to rape us with terms on XP, and develop a legitametely (sp?) good piece of software this wouldn't be an issue. I would HAPPILY fork out 90 bucks for XP with 98's TOS. I would more than happily spill out 40 if i had to deal with being raped by the TOS. Why dont companies understand this? My company makes glade, raid, edge, etc...maybe ill suggest to marketing that they start charging per dead bug, shaved leg, or "freshened room." I mean, glade DOES harness the precious power of oils, it says so in our commercial.

    yes, I do think I remember that too, I think you're absolutely right. Though I don't know if its "better" that double jeopardy...its in the same scope of the issues.

    isnt there a double jeopardy law that prohibits somebody tried for a crime from being tried againg? As I see it the only ones to really worry here are the ones who HAVE done it and NOT gotten caught, or the ones still doing it. I do agree with you that current laws are rather prohibitive for killing people: this is only going to open doors for corporations to abuse the law, throwing people in jail for "stealing" their "IP." ( i use qoutes because corporations and intelligence really don't seem right together)

    This is all very frustrating.

    I tell ya I'm gonna be pissed the first time I buy a CD and discover I can't listen to it in my computer.

    mine would go right back to the store, all they're doing is proving that we should listen to indie-artists who cant afford this BS, and for every MP3 distroed they get half a cd sale. Michael hasnt been played in this house in 10 years anyway
