I think he was talking about the free advertising he is getting from press coverage of the mistake. In which case, there would be no free advertising if they never complained in the first place. So, if you think about it, it is better to complain and get free press rather than not complain and still take a hit.
He said that he "grew 9 inches really fast" and "not everyone got a happy ending" like he did. Still, none of you snickered at this. I commend you for being adults, but I am shocked that this wasn't commented on.

>Damn, I guess I had it easy... I dealt with all of that stuff until I grew 9 inches insanely fast, and >became well versed in the subtle arts of "smashing the motherfuckers in the face". Sorry to hear not >everyone's got a happy ending like me.:(
Since my left hand is disabled, I am unable to play any games that require the directional pad. I've tried, believe me. It is difficult for me to shop for DS games since the ones that do operate with the stylus only use it for mini-games. I have found many games that run completely on stylus control, but I had to do alot of research to make sure that was the case.
I was going to write Nintendo today to see if they could provide a list of games that only required the stylus.
Lo and behold: they've already done it.
Damn, I haven't been this pleased with Nintendo since the 8-bit days (Even if they have been helping me unintentionally).
It has got to be related to the cost of upgrading your system. I remember when stores were dedicated solely to stocking computer software. When purchasing a game, the only thing I had to verify was whether it contained a 5.25 or 3.5 inch floppy. I didn't even need to upgrade my 8088 for five years. Now, I don't even bother looking through the PC game section; I already know without looking that my system isn't fast enough to play any of the games I really want to play.
Really, ask yourself: Wouldn't you get sick of having to read the cases of each and every Playstation 2 / XBOX game just to make sure you had all of the most updated hardware necessary to play the game?
I have lost most of the use in my left hand. I am able to move my fingers, but I cannot obtain a strong grip. I have pretty good use of my thumb, but I am unable to feel anything with the top of my thumb. Therefore, I am able to use a gamepad directional controller, but not effectively. This is why I am so thoroughly happy that the analog stick became the norm in future controllers.
This is also why I purchsed a Nintendo DS. I only buy games that make complete use of the stylus - Trauma Center, Bust-a-Move, and WarioWare, to name a few. This is also why I will buy a Revolution. Where some will look at this controller as a gimmick, I look at it as a boon. I couldn't have been happier to finally see a controller I could use.
I know losing the ability to play alot of video games may not be the end of the world, but it really blows.
Let me clear this up for all of those people that think "Full House" was a pretty funny TV show:
This Received a (Funny,4) - This is pretty funny. I propose that "speed of a bicycle" be adopted as the standard measure of velocity in technical articles. Units already included in the standard are "Libraries of Congress" for data storage requirements and "Size of a Volkswagon" for physical size measurements.
This Received a (Funny,5) - This is damn unfunny. The best thing about frozen light is that you can put it in your freezer, so that when there's a blackout, it will thaw and then you'll have light.
Many of the MetaModerators suck, plain and simple.
This is not Flamebait. I am just pointing out the obvious.
Kudos to whoever is giving out low mod points to people whose jokes completely blow. I have seen "Funny,5" way too many times for observations that are just too painfully unfunny to read.
Actually, I have an idea that could possibly decrease the amount of hoax e-mails being sent by novice users. Google could use their new ad placement technology to scan the email before it is sent and then report to the user that it is a hoax. Of course, Google would have to maintain a hoax database in order for this to work optimally. I dunno, it sounds like it would be a nice added feature to G-Mail. Arrr!!
I am suprised that nobody has played one yet. I was in San Francisco about 3 weeks ago and tried one out on a display at a Best Buy. I played the new Mario game, but I wasn't all that impressed. Maybe it is just Mario that doesn't impress me....
Nevertheless, I am sure the hype will push the sales up.
Amen. I've been using Logitech mice since I had my 8088 back in 1987. I'm not biased towards Logitech. I mean, Microsoft DOES make some nice mice.
That being said...I agree, Logitech is pretty far from being a minority player in th hardware market.
Yeah, I made the same mistake. Now I regret waterboarding my router.
The maker of Cultivation has this tagline on the of bottom of his page, but has yet to pull out of the competition:
For those who do not fear sacrifice:
your souls will burn bright trails in the night sky.

No kidding. I sent this story in to Slashdot early Friday morning. It was summarily rejected a half hour later.

Way to keep on top of things,

Could someone post the list??? I'm blocked out.

Really??? All it cost me was a $25 bottle of wine and used copy of Tetris Advance. I think you overpaid.

I think I will give Polarium a shot. I already have Kirby Canvas Curse and I love the hell out of it! Thanks for the suggestions.

>In Soviet Russia, light freezes you!!
God, please stop.
Agreed. How is this post even funny?
How about this one?
I liked Matrix better when it was Dark City.
Hahaha...I'm so witty...mod me up!!
