3. Will a deathmatch at more than 60 players convince you, cause i'm ready to fight this argument to death!;)
Other Suggestions for PC platform:
1. Return to Castle Wolfenstein ( Like i said: "looks good." )
2. Cossacks: Europeen Wars ( A favorite here, this is a great startegy game )
3. Anything except Dark Age of Camelot. ( The game isn't worth a christmas gift. It looks great, it sounds great, but the game content is poor. It is better to wait until next year for this one, believe me! )
There is a thin fine line between a sociologist and a sociopath...
Do you guys use this kind of method, or do you try to do everything in one program?
I try to keep everything under one roof, it's easier for maintenance and debugging.
What advantages or disadvantages do you see in creating one program compared to many programs?
Well on the advantages side, i can only see one. You can actually design well enough to use specific languages for specific jobs and get their full strength. However, i find that most of the time, your productivity or amount of headaches aren't really affected by this advantage.
On the bad side, i usually picture multiple languages applications as big spaghetti bowls. However, this isn't true in many cases.
( ex: using pre-compiled C apache modules in Perl really, really helped my project a lot and it didn't affect the quality of its structure. )
Conclusion: No matter the tools, everything always falls down on the developer's shoulder. Whether you use multiple languages or not, it won't affect the quality of your applications, only your skills at using them will.

I gave the distro chances for 12 months;) Nah! Sorry i'm just being hard on you. I agree it's not because something is old that it's useless, the unix example is a very good one, however if there is something better shouldn't you at least look at the other option.
In the case of Postal, sure it's a good game, like i said in my first comment, but it's only a lot of fun for 40 minutes or so, and they could have thought about making a new engine for it, since there's a bunch new ones on the market, that are really better.
