    Plenty of places on the mainland you can buy a ticket on the train too if you get on at a small unstaffed station, though if you get on at a big station with ample ticket buying facilities then they may fine you.

    A few months after this article being published i was in my first job... creating an online store selling stuff over the internet. I believe Amazon was just getting started then too. They have done quite well for themselves...

    Things did change very quickly though, Netscape 2.0 was the game changer as you say.

    My first computer (that i bought myself) was a Unisys 386SX-33, 4MB of RAM. i had a massive 80MB harddrive though. for some reason i decided to install OS/2 2.1 on it.

    Asteroids and Yar's Revenge had audio cassette versions - i think it was released by Atari and had a mix of songs and some narrative supposed to be about the video game characters.

    Leave the wire as it is, maybe over time it'll be painted over, covered by new wires. In years to come future owners of your house may then find the old copper and think it was a cool relic of the past.

    Like anything else your house has a history so why not keep it.
