What's the business reason for this?

You know, people on Wall Street do make an effort to notice when companies are throwing away tons of money. Especially in times like this.

I would guess that Google's stock prices are going to look more and more inflated at this rate. They keep doing all these side projects, none of which contribute to their core enterprise. They could have their employees doing analysis of foreign searches for intel purposes instead. Or working on personalized search results for selected Google users (blackholing some people or grooming results for others)

Or maybe there's not much for Google employees to be doing after all.

    Oh yeah, me too man.

One time, I gave my 2 weeks notice, and my manager was sobbing at his desk. Like his puppy just died or something. It was really quite pitiful. Another time, I had to put in notice, and my boss seemed to take it ok, but then as I was leaving work, there was a police car outside, they were taking him away, because apparently he had flipped out and started smashing cars in the parking lot with a baseball bat.

I mean, I try to do a good job, but it only ever makes for a really codependent relationship with the management.

Meanwhile people are buying out-of-region titles and modchipping their hardware, because as long as they can manage to play the game (not dialog based) they will enjoy it regardless of the foreign language requirements.

Especially as there is an english language version of this game already, and either one of the two holds, that 1. most people in europe can get the idea from english 2. english is parallel to European languages in terms of verbosity and character coding requirements......

Probably you could make some money and make the user base 95% satisfied by doing the laissez-faire thing and just letting them buy the games already available...
