Everyone needs to realize that this is indeed needed functionality. What kind of browser would it be if you couldn't save a.zip file or anything else to your hard drive? Any program you've ever used has the ability to be harmful. Let me repeat that: Any program you've ever used has the ability to be harmful.
It's all the ability to trust what you're putting on your hard drive to begin with. I run Windows on one box and Linux on the other. I tend to run OSS software on my Windows box too. Why? Because I tend to trust it more! I can rest (mostly) assured of the peer review process in an OSS app, and that if some nasty mal/spyware is included, or if it crashes systems left and right, that the community will let me know that before it ever gets to my hard drive to begin with. I would be even more assured, could I read/write C/C++; but for my needs this process works fine. If you don't know the reputation of the source of a binary, you probably shouldn't be downloading it.
I obviously digress; but extensions for Firefox is not a problem. Malicious programs abound, be careful where you get your apps.
LOL!! You've got to be the stupidest troll I've had the twisted pleasure of running across. You've debated nothing, and cite nothing as source. Please tell me more of this "internet trafficing"[sic] of which you speak.
Do you have a newsletter I can subscribe to?
Just tell me this:
Where is the spyware in Skype?
What is the name of it?
Why don't ANY of the spy/malware scanners know about this?
What, pray tell, are you smoking?
OK? Do you think you can do that? Oh, and one more thing:
Can you point to a howto on "hack to[sic] any computer through Kazaa & Gator?" That would be greatly appreciated, as I'm having a bit of a "cash flow" problem these days. Of course, you (and everybody else apparently) already know that, since I have Skype installed!

I agree with you, in a sense. However, is this something that the market, and not the court system, should decide?
Lexmark made a business mistake in offering those "prebates" and tried to litigate their way out of it, it seems. Maybe they should have just done the glass soda bottle thing and put a redemption value on the carts. Maybe they should have done some other type of promotion. Maybe they should have been good corporate citizens to begin with; but we are talking about Lexmark here.
I personally am disgusted at the amount of litigation that sways away from the "consumer's" best interest, and towards the fascist state we seem to be rolling towards. Lexmark is one of the problems. This is not one of the solutions.

I'm affiliated with the developers, and have taken it upon myself to form the Joomla! Foundation in order to make us look as serious as the big boys. The Joomla! Foundation will oversee the liscensing of intellectual properties and future directions of the Joomla! project. I look forward to working with the devs, none of which are on the newly appointed board.
???
Profit!
I've got a Cruizer Mini 1GB that I not only washed last week, I also ran it through the DRYER! As it tumbled out of the dryer with an arm-full of clothes I thought OMG, that's got my latest resume (amongst a GB of other things)! Ran to the 'puter and popped it in. To my astonishment, even the LED still works!
Man, those things aren't as indestructible as a steel key; but I wouldn't worry about destroying it too much. I'd be more worried about someone finding a way to easily copy it (with, I don't know... say... a COMPUTER!) and steal my wheels.
Halturnershow.com was linked to Fark last week about the CCP's Defense Minister's recent speech in which he (CCP DM) spelled-out the plans to "Clean-up America." I'm curious if anyone else came across that. I don't know if it is accurate, I haven't seen anything else on it and HTS.com sure seems to be inflamatory, but if it's 10% true it's scary as hell. Even talking about getting into a shared research deal Isreal for what he thinks is the closest thing to genetic weapons, to wipe-out any race not "yellow."
It was a terrifying read. I can't find the link atm, but has anyone read that that can comment?
Works completely! However, as of 12AM Central Standard Time the talk.google.com URL is serving-up the official client. It is pretty freakin' sweet! I'm on as bhsx72 (min. 6 char login), hear/read you there!
Probably not. This whole thing is still going to take another year or so to play out. Not the SCO has a snowball's chance; but they'll keep going at least until their "prepaid" lawyers run out on them. Hopefully that'll happen before they get to court. Actually, hopefully not, as if they were to quit halfway through the court procedings the judge would probably ask the bar association to investigate them. F*cking lawyers, er rather, THESE f*cking lawyers.
That when it comes to Greenpeace, France has their wackos as well.
P.S. Is this the first video.googel.com link that's on topic outside of the announcement? /me pats himself on the back.
The article, had you read it, clearly says GBytes. Maybe Samsung is making up a new industry term or something; but I'll assume they mean GigaByte.

Geeks aside, what everyday user needs a half-terabyte of space?
Paris Hilton?
That is the strangest bit of fantasy dialogue I've ever read. EVER!
Kudos

Coral cache link.
Really, would it be so hard to add a "Coralize Links" button to the Story Submission form?
No, they made it the 7 1/2 floor. It's a real bitch stopping the elevator there; but it has some wierd perks.
Do NOT talk about the Free Masons.
Ever!

Considering I knew it was linked from Fark, I don't know why it didn't occur to me to just look there.
Anywayz:
Here's that link!

OK, so let's call it GNU/Linux/X11/{KDE|GNOME}/{vi|Emacs}/Apache/PHP/Po stgre/Glest.
It's all about giving credit where credit is due.
But then, who'll read email in South Korea?
It rhymes with SVU, which is very popular right now.
(annoying-yet-addictive-indescribable-sound):
Donk Donk

that one is how to get on with Trillian.
Of course, talk.google.com has the official client now if you'd like to use that; or:
http://www.google.com/support/talk/bin/answer.py?a nswer=24073
if you'd like to connect with GAIM (my linux box is pretty much unuseable due to freenet eating all its cycles, so I'm opting for the "O" client on XP).
