    Not only will I not buy it, but I wish financial ruin on them for their audacity in manufacturing a device not aimed at me!

    But, just like how Apple sells 0.1 upgrades of OSX for the price of a 1.0 upgrade

    Who are these people to number their upgrades thus?
    I say if we are to feel that we are getting enough for what we pay, we musn't look at the actual additional features and performance upgrades! We want a BIGGER numbers: Only that is worth money!

    I can't understand that people are so against those ten-second adds

    Why the fuck am I paying for high-speed access if the idiots running the websites are gonna INTENTIONALLY slow them down?

    I say fuck 'em: You wanna mess around with delays and forced viewing ads and other crap like that, deal with the fact that we are gonna find ways around it.
    Even if that way is to shun your ad-ridden sites.

    I used to check IGN everyday, then they sold their soul to the advertising and registration branch of hell, now I close down the window as soon as I realise that I've inadvertantly followed a link to their pages. It beats having to cope with whatever horrible advertising scheme they are about to spew at me. Will it be flash animations over the text? Forced full page ad views? Or the mother of all insults: Ads with FUCKING LOUD NOISES suddenly blasting out of my speakers? Don't know, don't wanna know.

    Sticker on plastic wrapping VS permanent paint on actual product.
    Riiiight...they're the same...

    The stores allready put a ton of stickers all over the damn things. Price, lies about pricing policies, bragging about store policies, special offers, etc. Most people won't even notice an extra sticker.

    and I repeat: A removable sticker on a product's wrapping is NOT the same as permanent paint on the actual product. Not even close.

    Aside from that, you might have some kind of point about that group's behaviour...

    They've successfully test-flown a 1/2 scale model, and are moving into phase 2, which includes interviewing for test pilots (women only!). Can anybody speculate on how doable this is?

    Well, all they really need to do now is find a midget to fly the thing and its done!

    It had wings on its mouth, did it? How can you really tell without, say, a piece of fossilized body?

    You allways need a whole body to identify a creature huh AC? You can't tell a rhino from a cow just by looking at its head?

    Well guess what, biologist who specialise in fossilised insects can recognise them on based on their distinctive mouth parts.

    Martha Kent took the kid's baby blankets, un-wove them thread by thread (since trying to cut them was a good way to break scissors, although eventually they could trim the thread with his x-Ray heat vision), and then re-wove them into his outfit, re-un-weaving and re-re-weaving as he grew from boy to man.

    That was before women's lib. Now its all "magical force fields" and none of that opressive sewing and weaving. ;-)

    The creators of Superman were Jewish. They needed names that sounded alien for the characters, so they just used Hebrew sounding names, which at the time wouldn't be that well recognized by the general public.

    Had they been your run-of-the-mill regular good ol' Canadians, we would have had slightly different alien names.

    it pitted spike and angel against eachother as hitler vs America.

    It did no such thing.
    In the ads they quote Angel saying "Spike! You're a Nazi!", in the show that line is followed by Spike awnswering "No, I just ate one though!".

    Later on one of the american sailors says that Spike is Nazi, Angel replies "No, he just likes the jacket".

    No, she was "a bit chubby" when she was pregnant, but she was on Angel a couple weeks ago and she looks fit and trim now.

    Same way you get a hard-on from watching porn.
    Reality is perception, wether you percieve the person from right in front of you or from afar via the net, your brain still secretes the same chemicals.

    I have been chatting with webcams and talking on the phone with a girl since October, and I know she is the one, and I haven't seen her anywhere in my life before...

    Yeah, never heard THAT before...

    Considering that its a completely artificial "holiday" created to give the economy a consummerism boost exactly between xmas and easter, you shouldn't be surprised.

    My favourite valentines tradition is discovering yet another bogus origin story to valentine's day.
