Well, if Linux only has shitty drivers for one brand of cards, that kind of diminishes the suitability of Linux for games. No matter who makes the drivers.

And having to to choose one kind of display card instead of another because one kind doesn't work well under Linux just proves your point, doesn't it?
If I had a enough money to "throw away" a tablet pc, I would make a game for cats, kind of like whack-a-mole. In the game small "things" wander around the screen until the cat smacks them. Then they either stop or disappear. I would have to do some play testing to see which works best.
Or, you could register, login once and it will never bug you anymore. If you don't like giving your email address, use mailinator.
My one request for future story submitters: just say (registration required), the jokes about dna samples, firstborn babies and eternal souls are not that funny.
The gamecube conteoller is great, except that its d-pad sucks. It's in a weird place and it's small and has no feeling.
The d-pad on the dualshock is great. And the analog stick is still usable.
And Sony allows the d-pad to be used for controlling, unlike Microsoft (it would seem). Driving a car around in GTA3 is much easier for me on the PS2, because I can use the d-pad to steer. On the XBox, it changes the radio channes. When I'm out of the car, I use the analog stick.
