since some major research companeis are rating MSIE as unsecure why is the US military using this broswer to depend on its soldiers in launching military strike missions?

Hacker in Iraq reads acccess hacking information breeding grounds like l)pht.cm, 2600.com and etc than uses flasw in MSIE to prevent a timed US military strike on Iraq..
If you did a search of slashdot you would have found a 2 month old article about a project at darpa to produce an opensource BIOs that has the saem funcitonality and allows booting inlinux using Pallidium techniques..
Does anybody remember what they read at this palce or are we all gasping for lack of oxygen to brain cells?

I think realistically as new money flows in from HDTV-iTV/DTV to those in the know- that this money will be used by big cable providders to buy up mom and pops and build out their systems to implement technology using the new higher speeds..

MIchael did you happen to read the article about phased array useage in wireless to prevent interferrrence that DO is worried about..it was in slashdot this morning..MAYBE YOU MISSED IT?
Since we can charge for the costs of cds in distributing opensource projcts..why can't we add one dollar to the cost for revenue stream that goes to these orgs..with of course fully informing the public about this?
