    I think Alan Kay would agree that not all CS papers of a worthy read are in CS..

    Information Theory was certainly not in CS when it was orginally written in the 1940s..instead it was in Telcommunications and Mathematics :)

    Basically the areas you shoudl be looking at are:

    Logic
    Philosphy
    Mathematics
    Physics
    Bilogy
    Chemistry

    For example the concept of meta data.. ie data that has diferent menains based on context is common in all these areas and has direct applicatiosn to CS! Some of the current concepts of Semantic web are from this area and started in Language studies..:)

    Rmember the old adage of the crusty old CS professor that CS is multidisplinary still applies! :)

    to be fair Eclise in action is not a book targeted at developers who want to extend and get into the power under the hood..even says that in the intro an d forward..

    To be fair to the reviewr he shoudl have read the intro andofreward online bnefore orderign and choosen the book:

    The Java Developer's Guide to Eclipse published by Addison wesley and the Authores are the wizards from OTI where Eclipse happen to come from..

    I am very happywith this book as it meets my needs to poke under the hood and extend Eclipse..

    How can it be any more harmfull to publish a paper that shows the DRM technology was ineffective than to put that ineffective DRM technology out in the market place?

    DRM on CDs and DVds will not be 100% secure and free from breakign the drm to be able to copy the files..

    This have been proved numerous times in all quality CS journals.. myabe this cat shoudl read up on his CS research?
