    What I was trying to point out was.. if you build a custom motherboard then have to configure it.. you pretty much shoot yourself in the foot, why not have that configuration built in during the customisation of the board??

    Sony had to have a custom motherboard configured to get the CPU and hard drive in the right position for cooling

    but higher OS costs ;) but to a point, how true is this? Im payed pretty little but know more than any mcse certed windows admin... I think if your buisness is strategic enough to employ people with actual know how over a peace of paper(mcse) that says someone can remeber some facts; that the costs for staff will be greatly reduced. Then again Im problery just a gullable tw*t ;)

    I see where you coming from, I never installed the service packs above 4 I think it was on an old NT server I use to run simply because it broke everything, these days though windows update does an OK job, its not 100% bullet proof, but its much better to be up2date than not.. for instance did you know blaster/welch will stall/kill a dial up connection without these updates(which is funny if you have ever tryed downloading the 150meg service pack 4 for win2k on a 56k dial up that stalls every 4minutes ;).. if anything you should install the patches as a mark of respect towards the rest of the internet.

    Microsoft needs to completely re-engineer the OS like they are doing with Longhorn to resolve the security problems with Windows

    Wasnt that what the aim of 3.11, 95, 98, NT4, ME, 2000, XP.. and all those I missed was? ;)

    Isnt the fact we cant even decipher 1750's English a testament to our inferiority at predicting the weather.... not to speak of the fact Ive never known a single weather reporter to give a accurate forcast of the weather.. well now thats where I slip up ;)
