I myself am running sucsefully a RAID5 system based on the software solution of Win2K.
I use 5 Maxtor 60GB drives (don't ask me for the type, I am too drunken to remember) having a redundant failsave 120GB online.
It's fast enough for my pr0n collection and I allready had a harddrive failure, so I just exchanged the drive by a new one with a harddisk of the same type (my vendor exchanged it without asking) and all I had to do was a right-click and 'enable' in the drive-manager.
I just like it to have the opportunity to create a RAID5 system by software without worries about controlers, harddisks, drivers, etc.
Yes, sure, software-based allways is slower than hardware-based, so I wouldn't use it in a webserver (especially if it could get slashdotted). But it's fine for a fileserver in your company as (backup-)server or for your machine at home.
Visitors driving from Germany to the Netherlands and back are tracked by cameras. If they stayed for less than 2 days, they will get stopped and searched if they bought weed...
there is an interview with craig available as mp3 (over 70 minutes) that deals with details of the technology at google and how it changed since mr. silverstein started at google.

I would place 2000 or 3000 people around that location and let them create a religion that forbids coming near or digging that place. Religions can last long, and I bet, there are enough people that have nothing better to do.
Pilots get trained to report 'hidden' that they were hijacked to the flight security. This did not happen what is a sign for the good 'education' of the hijackers. And it may be a sign that they killed the pilots.
it is very easy to buy ads on google. But 20$ on google brought less traffic to my site than a 10$ ad at K5.
He didn't read the artic^H^H^H^H^H signs on the door of the bar.
...how on of those can travel to the space station IIS and back when it's using an air breathing engine?
BTW: It's up since 9 months and I used IDE-drives.

I only ensured to use 5 identical HDs...
according to this (rather old (2001)) paper, lifetime of polymer dislpays is around 10.000 hours against usual TFTs living around 50.000 hours.
Let's assume they doubled it since 2001, its 20.000 hours.
Unless they produce them for the half of the costs of usual TFTs, I wouldn't like to throw away my TV every 2 1/3 years...
You've stolen my comment.

They do not use Microsoft Money for that?
as I can read from jpeg.org, jpg2000 will be a copyrighted, but free standard (same as the jpg standard).
http://www.realuser.com/ has allready implemented this technology. You can use their service to store web-logins etc. on their servers.
I tried it once and it was incredible how fast you can remember three or four faces in the right sequence.
