When browsing comments by Chinese, you will very, very often see the phrase "We Chinese" (women zhongguoren). They consider themselves as different from Americans as ants are different from dirt. Superior, actually - culturally, morally, and physically. You have to realize that years of viewing things like "Sex and the City" has done tremendous damage to the view of Americans from China's viewpoint.
What, are you serious? Like diplomacy would have stopped the Spanish Armada? Puh-leez! That's a screamer. The most ignorant people out there are the ones who have never studied history.:(
Dude, Iran is most certainly not a democracy. It is, to borrow a phrase, a "functional fascist theocracy". They have real religious police. See http://viewfromiran.blogspot.com/
So - you've got 2 paragraphs about Fox, which I assume that you hate. Then, the real meat of your comment where you spend THREE paragraphs bashing Jerry Falwell with a nightstick in the face - right on, man! Yeah! Take on those 80s TV preachers and resurrect ancient debates about an 80s movie. Fight the power, man! You even appear to have invented a bigoted term to describe the people you hate.
Dude, you have serious issues. Projection would be my first guess.
I live overseas, and one of the odd jobs that comes to foreigners like me is reading English transcripts for promotional videos and such. It's actually not easy to sit there and read aloud for minutes at a time. Not saying the Author's Guild guy isn't off his rocker (he's just defending his industry, natural behavior) but it's a pain. It's also quite slow compared to reading silently.
Due to the new system of Pinyin romanization, the letters Q, Z, and X occur frequently at the beginnings of words in Mandarin Chinese. This makes abbreviations look weird. They especially like Q, for some reason. The stolen design of the Chevy Spark compact car is being sold as the QQ.
Here we have a perfect example how open standards help everyone. Although it is quite unfortunate that this situation was a war, and diplomacy was not given enough time to work, the benefits of open standards have to be obvious. What if one cannon was made by Microsoft and one by Apple...they couldn't use each other's ammunition, and the English would have lost. Of course, the whole situation could have been avoided by dialogue and communication, listening to the voices of the people, and building peace instead of building guns.
When the United States, an oppressor country with a history of exploitative imperialism, observes that a victim country like India has problems, then it is most certainly not "low expectations". Indians themselves may make movies observing this, but the USA has no business whatsoever doing it. The Americans should concentrate on fixing all of their own flaws before ever, EVER criticizing a victim country for ANYTHING.
Repeat this to yourself until you understand - it's a GAME. It's not real! It's not supposed to be real! It's entertainment, not a graduate-level physics homework exercise. If you want to spend your free time doing the calculus to figure out intercept vectors, then go right ahead with a pen & pencil. Heck, get a job in aerospace, it's pretty much the same thing. The rest of us want to fly around and shoot things with laser beams.
The thief has already been arraigned in court for the crime. The judge said "You are hereby fined $500."
His lawyer stood up and said "Thanks, your honor, however my client only has $300 on him at this time, but if you'd allow him a few minutes in the crowd he will gather all the required monies."
Oh, and what's the difference between a Peeping Tom and a pickpocket? A pickpocket snatches watches.
Are you actually quoting a TELEVISION SHOW as being realistic in any way? Are you serious? And who the hell modded you up? TV shows do whatever they want, they are works of FICTION.
How do you know that: 1) that Wikipedia didn't rip off the author? The article isn't necessarily brand-new, it could have been around for a while. I know that I re-use useful content. Or that: 2) the author of the article and the author of the Wikipedia aren't the same?
For me, the last straw was seeing articles that I had written myself ripped off into another person's publication, and then the Wiki page for the topic was edited with a citation to my material. Yeah, I should just remove the content from Wikipedia - yeah, right. The guardian of the page instantly reverts any removals.
This is why bigotry towards the religious is so important - it puts them in their place. We need to replace religion with 100% science - superstition is no way to go through life. It's our responsibililty to stamp out religion wherever it appears.
You realize that the average person has 1 phone at 1 time? So much for your box of connectors, you're very atypical. Oh wait, you despise average people and wish them every affliction in the book.
My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that."

Yeah I know...GW Bush was exactly the sort of unwanted immigrant that I was talking about. The whole Bush family are Yankee bluebloods from Connecticut. I mean, Bush was in Skull and Bones at Yale...you think good ol' boys from Texas get into Yale, much less Skull and Bones?

Q: Why is starting a comment in the Subject: line annoying?

No, actually it was. Baha!

Good reporting. Hah! Is that when the reporter slants the article to conform with his ideological biases? Or omits certain facts when they don't fit?

Yeah, well when the computer is frozen, then any solution that involves pressing keys ISN'T GOING TO WORK. That's the whole idea of a hardware reset.
Talking about a corporate lawyer who works for one company, not a hired gun who has to scramble for clients.

Objective journalist? Is that one of those oxymorons like "military intelligence" or "jumbo shrimp"?

Those willing to trade Liberty for Security deserve neither.
That's not physics, that's engineering.

And about ten seconds after that, sheets of counterfeit stickers would be on sale at all the major markets like Yiwu.
