Exactly what I was going to post; it's great to have all these choices, but it's essentially standing at the opening of a bunch of water slides. You can choose one, but you're stuck on that one for the whole ride.
Not really. I had to setup an XPS laptop and an XPS One. Dumbasses ordered them instead of OptiPlexs, and of course no XP drivers on Dell's website. We got the laptop working, but on the One half the devices are non-functional. But oh well, my boss said we had to use XP, so it's the user's fault.
FC5 is easily the best Fedora release yet. I switched from FC4 to Ubuntu and have used it since, but Dapper has been a huge disappointment for me, including the live installer and freezing at startup after enabling my wireless lan interface. And you want to talk about ugly? How about Dapper's translucent orange look?
I started out on Fedora, using 1-3 before moving over to Ubuntu. After waiting for what I thought would be the best Ubuntu ever, instead is a pain to install and now freezes on boot every time. FC5 on the other hand is easily Fedora's best release so far, as they have continued to replace and refine things that need to be (need we mention up2date?)
1. It automatically boots, meaning I don't have to worry about switching things in the BIOS in order for my usb keyboard to work w/ the installation program 2. Finally, my wireless network interface works out of the box! All I had to do was activate it and it was up and running.
I have to agree here. As much as I love the world and mechanics of Guild Wars, I can't depend on anyone to help me get through quests, I have to have Henchmen(which are rediculously underpowered).
In Ubuntu I could play my iTunes music(the cd's I had ripped to AAC, not any purchased ones) by simply installing gstreamer-faad from the Universe repository.
1. Regular releases 2. Updated hardware support and drivers (mobo devices, booting from my nice 10K SATA drive) 3. No activation bullshit. If I want to upgrade components, swap things araound, or make a clean install I don't have to worry about being harrassed. 4. Freedom of choice: using Synaptic, I choose which apps I want to use and have installed. 5. It's free

Maybe it renders TubGirl quickly (and anything faster than never is too fast...)
What version of 2.6 will Lenny include? I assume it won't be 2.6.27...
He must have found a shortcut and hardwired it into that chip.

No wonder Slashdot developed Firehose....
Now I can play Deus Ex: Invisible War at ~50 FPS...

Fucking In!
How well does FC5 support wireless networking? I'd like to easily be able to use my Linksys G card for internet access.

Would you like me to make you some sandwiches?
