    Wouldn't a spinning gyroscope in that kind application kind kill your batteries after a short while? Nintendo has (I believe) announced that all their Revolution controllers are going to be wireless.

    I can understand your frustration with the L3 and R3 buttons, but personally I've never had a problem with them. In fact, I've found them downright useful for zooming in games like Medal of Honor, for example.

    I guess its because I always had a light touch when it comes to handheld controllers. Leads to less hand strain, that's for sure.

    All the reviews I saw said that AC2 was extremely streamlined , but wasn't all that compelling to play. No NPCs, you could "sell" unwanted objects no matter where you were, no vendors...

    Sorry, but all those mean things that the Republicans said about Joe Wilson and his wife were true. Valerie did recommend her husband for the trip. Joe reported back findings to the CIA that seemed to indicate that Iraq had sought uranium in Niger. And later on, Joe deliberately contradicts his own findings in his infamous newspaper article.

    In North America we're focused on the short term profit, on how to make a buck in the next quarter, in China they see the big picture and the long term goal. They know where they want to go, and know that some investments are long term.

    I heard the same rhetoric about Japan in the 1980's.

    Huh? The hard drive/wireless bundle is $400, not $500.

    Expect similar pricing for the PS3. Believe it or not, Sony doesn't have any magic technology to make hard drives any cheaper to manufacture.

    Ironically enough, there *are* already collectable cards in-game. There is no gameplay associated with these cards -- you just collect a whole set and turn it in for an uber prize.

    The PS3 is released in 2006, so it will be 7 years old in 2013, which is reasonable for a console's lifetime. (Except for Microsoft's, which life only 4 years)

    How do you plot a prediction graph with only one data point?

    For power plants, there is also net energy lost converting the mechanical motion to electricity, and energy lost transmitting said electricity. Not to mention the energy lost putting the electricity into and out of the batteries, and the added weight of the batteries to the car.

    It's easier to describe Bowling for Columbine as anti-gun. Easier than actually watching the film, paying attention and fucking thinking for a change, at least.

    Well, there was the fact that the bank scene was staged. And that Charlton Heston footage was spliced together to put him in a bad light.

    Those were two deliberate moves that put the pro-gun lobby in a bad light, despite what his conclusion said. (Are documentaries supposed to have conclusions, by the way?)

    It you watch it, weather you agree with it or not, it's final premis is that the culture of fear and violence perpetrated by our foreign policy and the mass-media that supports it

    Foreign policy?! I would go as far to say that [b]Doom[/b] played a bigger role in the Columbine massacre than our foreign policy.

    The destruction of Nagasaki and Hiroshima were likely caused by communication problems, nothing more. When approached with proposals for surrender, Japan's leadership replied with "mokusatsu" -- a typically Japanese response when confronted with an unappealing offer -- "I hear you, but I choose to say nothing".

    The United States proposed an unconditional surrender, the imperial Japanese government refused. Where is the misinterpretation again?

    Yet no word on the point of view (that I assume was never taught in US schools) that the bombing was unnecessary, as Japan was about to surrender, the wheels were in motion but accidental/intentional communication problems prevented that from happening before the bombs were dropped.

    There is no need to discuss that point of view, as it is fiction.

    Hell, after the second bomb was dropped, the Emperor himself was almost kidnapped before he could make his surrender radio address.

    It's said that the Palestinians 'never miss an opportunity to ''miss an opportunity.''
    This is rather true of the Palestinian government.

    Hell, you could take all the Palestinians and put them in the middle of the endless slums of Lagos or Nairobi or Abidjan or Kinshasa and they would just -disappear- as if they never existed.

    The point the author is making is that Palestinians are, ethnically, just generic arabs, much like those in Egypt and Jordan.

    The Palestinians don't realize how lucky they are to have the Israelis as the occupying force in their land.
    Versus the Russians as the occupying force, for example. Original poster isn't saying that Palestinians are lucky to be occupied in the first place.

    It's a problem of Panislamic radicalism, and it's possibly a greater threat than the West has ever faced in modern times. These groups of people, under whatever umbrella you wish to shove them, desire for the creation of an Islamic theocratic superstate in the whole of the mideast, which is the seat of government for the world.

    You are correct for all intents and purposes. But I should point out that if these groups ever stop struggling against the "other", they will shortly fight amongst themselves.

    Heck, just look at all the infighting going on in Palestine right now. Civil war looms on their horizon.

    I devised a way to play the Virtual Boy lying down. I'd simply rest the contraption so that the foot prongs at poking me in the chest, and the goggles are mostly resting on my forhead.

    Not as uncomfortable as it sounds.

    They only decided to release it after being pestered repeatedly for it by people in the US for several years.
    And even then they had an American studio do it. Fortunately Retro Studios did an awesome job on it, and the rest is history.

    I wonder why the Metroid games never "took off" in Japan. They really are quite awesome.
