That was Superman III actually and it was a fairly horrid movie. Perhaps only beaten by Superman IV. It did become funny though when they referenced it in Office Space.
Freshrpms.net IS supporting Fedora. Or do you mean you suspect Freshrpms won't continue to support RedHat9? If you have any questions about what Freshrpms will or won't do, why don't you ask them?
No, at least in Michigan you're supposed to report you're mail order purchases on your annual tax form. They do make it easy for you and let you choose a "default" amount based on how much your income is. My dad chose that option and saved a bundle on the tax and relieved his conscience as I don't think he even keeps record of that and wouldn't have reported it (or would have guessed), but he orders a TON of stuff through catalogs etc. I don't see how it'd be any different for online orders.
Well . . . it's a bit of a stretch but a caldera is in part created by a volcano "blowing it's top." Hat's are tradiationally worn on top of the head. I don't know. It'd be contrived, but one could make a connection.
Perhaps my knowledge of RedHat history is flawed, but I seem to remember reading that it did infact fork off from Slackware. I'm not saying that's bad, just that RedHat didn't spring up out of a vacuum. Maybe you don't count that as a "straight fork" like perhaps early Mandrake which was RedHat with KDE.
Maybe it's for humanitarian purposes such as through his foundation. Maybe it's motivated by a need for better PR. Maybe it's motivated by something else.
Maybe it was motivated by the three spirits that visited him in the night.
The English language was not stolen. It was a fork. English is Open Source. A fact which is evidenced by so many buggy patched versions seen here on Slashdot. I'll be the first to admit that a few "bugs" find their way into the English I use.
You're right, I forgot the next, and yes html gobbled my less than sign. That was over 20 years ago, so it's basically the equivelant of my grandma stating that all she got out of algebra was x=1 cow.;-) Fortunately I got a lot more out of it than that. I lump my coding skills in with the same learning disability that seems to prevent me from really learning other languages. I can pick up a litle vocabulary, a little grammer, pronunciation is not problem at all, but there's no way that it all comes together in my head.
Don't forget, with tilt control, we can probably rig it up with some lasers, tack it to a wall and have an easy to use guide for putting up shelves and pictures etc.;-)
Even better, try groups.google.com. See if anyone else has already asked the question and see if it's been answered. This avoids the guru having to hear the same question 50 times and it avoids the poor newbie being yelled at for being the unlucky soul to have asked the question the 50th time.
Well, I DID like that behavior for ONE and only ONE reason. In order to stop my toddlers from playing with the cd-rom tray, I would put a CD in and mount it, thus rendering the eject button useless.

OK, I understand that.

We don't need to shut it down, just build a giant reflective space shield out of unused AOL CDs.
I've beent using it the last couple years with Mozilla on Linux.
Saving my PDFs like a couple other commenters suggested.

Yes but Oct31 = Dec25
Who knew Tim Burton was such a mathematician?

Now if only there was a way to tap that resource . . . Darn! I left my umbrella in the car!

But the point is that grass is greener than all the elephants that ever lived.
I think.

All these little i's in the posts are giving me flashbacks of my early days with my TI-99/4A
when my dad tried in vain to teach me to program.
100 for i=1 to 10
110 print i
120 i=i+1
130 if i11 goto 100
140 end
yup, fun stuff.

My point was simply that more press coverage isn't always a positive.
Yeah . . . Bin Laden also got more press after 9/11 and I suppose Hitler had quite a bit of press in teh late 30's early 40's.
Relevant isn't always a good thing.

Is that too contrived?
Yeah, last time I checked it was early July. I'd say this is a PRE-September 11th world.
Information wants to be free.
;-)
Is that free as in speech or free as in information? I don't buzz off beer.
Uh. . . to which rodent are you refering? I wasn't aware that Dreamworks was in the mouse or rat business.
The Phantom Menace? Send in the Clones? (sorry Attack of the Clones) and now:
Star Wars: Behind the Scenes Webcam
It's about as inspiring as the other titles in the franchise.
