    Wouldn't favicon.ico be displayed as a gui elment? I know that icons rendered in geko are run through some sanity checks that made them safe from the recent jpeg/bmp vulnerability. It seems possable that something could get through since mozilla would use gdkpixbuf when rendering them.

    My monitor has in its OSD controls a utility for setting up your monitor based on the direction its faceing. Its a large professional monitor so I assume thats why.

    When 2.4ghz phones came out and most people still were useing 900mhz so the 2.4ghz spectrum was wide open and their was little intereference. Since interference was low the signal could go further. This is no longer as much of a case for 2.4ghz phones as most phones sold now are 2.4ghz. 5.8ghz phones enjoy greater range for now as they are not in as much use.

    I put on my w2k box. Was working fine before, had everythign just the way I wanted. It moved over my bookmarks just fine but mangled my plugins - Badily. I couldn't even install a new theme, or anything else for that matter, it would say it was installing it but would do nothing.

    The only way to get more light into the camera is with a big lens, The larger the diameter the more light gathering ability it had. Since SLRs are about all that will have big lens options you're going to have to get one.

    As for dealing dith water, keep it in a dry bag. If you want to use it underwater then be prepared to spend lots of money. Lots.

    Not for long anyways, heres the rundown of tryed and failed experments:

    -immersion in tap water: its conductive, one person was stupid enough to try this on his shiny new system, lets just say the power supply did somehting intersting.....

    -immersion in distilled/de-ionised water: it gets contaminated by the computer and becoms slightily conductive, all the traces corrode.

    -immersion in mineral oil: works for a few days but then stopped working with no obvious damage. Probily the capacitors soaked up the oil and that changed their electrical properites.

    So theonly this stuff will work is if you use some kind os sealent on the board around the capicators and that might not even work...

    Conversily Ultraviolet == 'above violet'

    So its a refference to the colours reliative position in the visable light spectrum.

    I though it was just a regular cheepo plastic lens viewfinder as well, its hard to imagen they packed it so tight with features.

    You have to click on the 'exclusive slideshow' link at the bottom of the page. From the article:

    This viewfinder also acts as a microdisplay for viewing video playback (you'll need to plug the headphones in to hear sound). The trashcan symbol sits to the left of the delete button, which deletes whichever pictures or clips you're viewing. Below the button are the Power and Memory indicators [[inset]] (labels for each are to the left).

    One of this cameras major functions not mentioned in the article is that its viewfinder doubles as a image/video preview monitor. Since it can handle >20 minutes of mpeg4 video you could upload your favorate tv show to watch at youe leasure. Looks like your fscked when the battery wears out, its not replaceable.

    In my experence when a microwave dies 90% of the time its because the fuse blew. When this happens most people will just toss it out and buy a new one, but I've seen a few cases where they used the wrong kind of fuse -- microwaves need ceramic fuses.

    So next time you see a newish looking one on the curb grab it then go by ratshack and pick up a replacement fuse, or just wrap the old one in tin foil.

    Basically the cheepest most effective way is with chicken wire of simular where the holes in it are smaller then the wavelength you wish to block that is grounded. Its what microwaves use, but you could get away with bigger holes then the ones on microwaves.

    You could drain the retards batterys nice 'n fast by makeing the ground connection switch on and off makeing their phone lose the connection before it has a chance to get online.

    The most bizarre thing of all is the size of the hex head on the CD-Rom screw. As best as I can tell, this metric-threaded screw has a 7/32-inch hex head! It is definitely larger than 5 mm but smaller than 6mm. Whose idea of a sick joke was this?!?

    Its a 5.5mm its a useful and therefore common size any one with an allen key set most likely has a 5.5mm one.
